Being down 3-1 doesn't mean the seasons over.

I know I'll get back lash with this thread, but that's ok because I'll have plenty of time for negativity come the offseason but as of right now, I'm willing to fight behind this team until it's over. I don't look at this as having to win three consecutive although that's reality. I look at this as one game at a time. It all rides on game 5. Win game 5, at home inside of Madison Square Garden and you know what game 6 stands for? A fighting CHANCE at a game 7. That's all I'm asking for as a fan; is a chance for a game seven.
Win game 5, gain a little confidence and head into Indiana as road warriors for a CHANCE at a game 7. That's what a potential win gives us during game 5. Is a CHANCE at a game 7 come game 6.
Our backs are against the wall, we're wounded animals as of right now. Now we get a chance to see this teams heart. We have a real chance/opportunity to see how our team responds during an actual do or die situation. Win game 5 at home in front of Madison Square Garden faithful and it's a series. Because come game 6 we'll be fighting for a CHANCE at a game 7. And that's all I'm asking for.
Win game 5.

Out of 206 teams that have been down 3-1, 8 have come back to win the series.
That's 3.88%
Not happening

We shoot 35% and we give up 18 more rebounds. It's over dude. And MSG is no advantage when we've already lost at home to this team.

it will be interesting to see the type of attitude NY comes out with next game. Your right that if we win the next game anything is possible, but Im not very confidant after these last two playoff series. From the beginging of the celtics series we've left our regular season identity as a 3 point team and its been hurting our offense

The season's over. You're delusional if you think the Knicks are winning three straight. Maybe they can take Game 5. MAYBE. But three straight games? Not in this lifetime.
It's over. DONE.

No it doesn't mean the season is over, but yes the season is over.... Or it will be in 2-4 days. It's just bookkeeping at this point.

And for a game 7, we need two consecutive victories. It's more than possible, especially if we play with our backs against the wall with nothing but fight. As of right now, I'm not thinking about a game 7, all I want is a win come game five inside of Madison Square Garden. We win game 5? And we all know what game 6 stands for; which is a CHANCE at a game 7. That's just the scenario but I'm not thinking game 7. I just want a win with game 5 and then we all know what game 6 stands for. A chance at a game... You guessed it.
Game 5!

We aren't winning this man.
We are 2-6 since Smith elbowed Terry.
We came into game 4 down 2-1 knowing that it could decide the series and we layed another egg.
I really wanted the Knicks to have a battle with the Heat, I really did but this series is over.
And come on, give the Pacers credit, they pounced on all the rebounds and played with much more energy then us.

knowing our luck, we'll get to game 7 and lose. at the buzzer. in triple overtime. after hibbert and george get hurt and after stephenson gets ejected. and the refs will be helping the knicks. our luck.

EXACTLY.... Woodson will do everything he can to make sure we have no chance. After all, it's what he did tonight.

Let's just hope the Pacers get over confident or something and start drinking before games

I don't have a lot of faith, but if we play better in game 5 and get some confidence back who knows what happens in game 6. And if we win game 6 we'll be so pumped going into game 7 at home we can win.
Until we are eliminated there is still hope. Long shot or not. We aren't down 3-0 to MJ's Bulls.

take it one game at a time. focus on the next one, then the one after that if we win.

I understand you/our frustration, we're all upset but I'm just trying to keep perspective. Yes we've lost to Indiana at home during this playoff run but we're also 3-1 against Indiana at home this season. 3-1. I'm just not willing to call this series over despite how poorly we've shot from the field and/or rebounded.
3-1 inside of M.S.G this year against Indiana. 75%. Win game 5 and we all know what game 6 will stand for; a CHANCE at a game 7. That's my mentality and I believe in it. Win game 5 and game 6 means a CHANCE for a game 7.
