BAT 9: Free Agency Thread - Starts SUNDAY @8PM EST
Posted: Wed Jun 12, 2013 10:46 pm
OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:
BAT 9.0 FREE AGENCY WILL START SUNDAY 6/16 @ 8PM EST.
PURPOSE:
The purpose of this free agency period is to allow all GM's to fill out the remaining 3 roster spots on their 15 man roster.
RULES:
This thread will be locked until 8PM EST on Sunday 6/16. Once the thread is unlocked,
1. Each teams GM will be allowed to pick ONE (and ONLY ONE) player (obviously that player has to still be unselected during the previous 13 rounds of the BAT).
2. Each GM will then be allowed to pick ANOTHER player on or after 8PM EST on Monday, and again on or after 8PM EST on Tuesday. <-- RULE CHANGE
3. Each GM can also drop players previously selected during this period. If you drop a player, you may choose another player to replace the player dropped. The do not need to wait for your 24 hour cycle to pick another player if you drop a player.
4. Dropped players can be picked up IMMEDIATELY by another GM IF (and only IF) that player has not picked a player within the last 24 hours OR if that GM drops a player first (see rule 3).
5. Players picked during this period CANNOT be dropped OR traded for 24 hours. This is to avoid any sort of monkey business between GM's looking to make trades to fit cap or any other attempts to get around the rules.
5. GM's CANNNOT re-acquire a player they dropped (either by re-picking them or via a trade) for 24 hours. This is to avoid any sort of monkey business between GM's looking to make trades to fit cap or any other attempts to get around the rules.
6. For cap purposes, any player selected during this period will have a salary equal to his salary for the past (2012-2013) season.
7. Each GM may NOT have less than 12 players or more than 15 players at any time. If, by dropping a player, you fall under 12 players, you MUST IMMEDIATELY pick another player. If, by picking up a player, you go over 15 players, you MUST IMMEDIATELY drop another player.
8. Players are first come first serve. Whomever manages the get earliest post in (in cases where multiple GM's attempt to get the same player) will end up with that player UNLESS that GM breaks one of the above rules. If so, then his claim to that player will be null and void and the GM with the next earliest post will get that player.
9. Head coaches can also be dropped and/or picked up during this period. All rules for players follow for head coaches as well (where applicable).
10. Any GM who breaks the above rules will lose their claim to the player/coach they were looking to take for 24 hours.
SUGGESTIONS FOR THE NOOBS:
You can expect several GM's to be lined up and ready to make their pick at 8PM EST sharp. That's the nature of the BAT. Guys like Mecca will be basically sitting ready to submit the guy he wants at 8PM on the dot so there will be a mad rush. So if you want the best of whatever is less I would suggest you do the same.
Please make sure you follow and understand the rules.
As this is a first come first serve type of thing, there should be no disputes about who got what UNLESS a GM breaks one of the rules. If they did please feel free to point it out.
