Dolan to Knicks: I expect to win title this season

Not many pundits believe the New York Knicks can win the NBA title this season.

But team owner and Madison Square Garden executive chairman James Dolan expects them to do so.

In a recent meeting with the Knicks coaching staff and some team executives, Dolan said that he believes that the team has enough talent to win an NBA title and he expects them to do so this season, league sources with knowledge of the owner's message during the meeting confirmed.

"He told them he believes they have enough talent to win it all," one source said, "and he expects it to happen this year."

He'll use this as an excuse to fire the coaching staff at the end of the season. Again, nothing we didn't know was going to happen anyway.

Yeah, that's not going to happen. It's possible for the Knicks to reach the ECF but anything beyond that is just being delusional.

I have no problem with it either.

Isn't this the board that said everyone should have a win now mentality? Winning attitude starts from the top. I don't care what your feelings on Dolan are, but everyone must be on the same page. Now we're going pick apart what Dolan's expectations are because we don't like him? C'mon guys, get real.

I have no problem if we had the right pieces to compete with the teams that are likely to be playing in June. However, the roster as it is right now, isn't at that level yet.
