Excellent signing for us, Smith plays some tough man to man defense. Hopefully he's back to a 100% because he was playing some excellent ball last year and was an important player for the Pelicans last year.

I loved this guy prior to the injuries (76ers). Haven't watched much of him recently during his stint w/ NOH(NOP?).

3.3M.. doe

I'm going hunting for the tallest broad that I can find, and I'm going to impregnate that hoe.

I gotta get in on the NBA money train.

He's always injured. He played less than half the games last season.

He's already torn his knee up I think & keeps getting injuries season by season..

Not bad, he's a decent player.

I think it was Berman that said Phil might not use the mmle, this is the next best thing.

Nice, I was worried we would do a multiyear deal with our mmle. Flexibility for next year still in tact, and we gain front court depth which we need in case Amare can't stay healthy or Bargs doesn't magically become good at basketball.

At least the Knicks shouldn't be undersized this year.

Seems like he's a solid backup big when healthy. He seems to miss a lot of games, what we're his injuries?

For 1 year, 3 mil in this market I'll take it. 20 minutes off the bench will do.

Plays with effort and has a nice J. Can't complain for $3.3M.

Those three might not play 82 games combined.

But then again I dont expect two of them to be on the team when camp starts.

Averaged about 10 and 6 and plays hard on the defensive end. Could be worse for the mmle

He got the cartilage in his knee repaired last year with the surgery, so hopefully it will hold up. No one is expecting Smith to come in here and be a starter, but rather a nice goon who can play 20 minutes off the bench. Between Dally/Smith in the middle, that's some solid defense. Getting a proven center these days for a one year deal is hard enough, Smith fits that. You right he's had two seasons cut short due to injuries, but he's always been a solid productive guy when on the floor.
