This upcoming five game stretch: Utah, Denver, Mil, Minn and Philly is crucial if we want to prove ourselves as legit tankers. All five of those teams can be fighting us for a top pick at the end of the season and we most prove early in the season that we are a legit tank.

We need to find a way to lose at least 4 out of those 5 games. After this five game stretch, our schedule gets brutal and the tank should be rolling easily.

1)play Daly and Cole at Center. No one else.
2)play Melo at PF
3)force feed STAT the ball while he's on the floor so he can score b/c that's really all he can do well(haters and lovers can agree to that I think)
4)pray to different gods until we can find one that listens.

Utah & Milwaukee I'm not concerned about, those teams will easily beat us especially Utah. However I'm skeptical about Philly & Denver. Those two teams will be quite the battle for the tank, they possess great tanking skills that no mortal tanking team can overcome. We'll have to really bring our A game to be worse than them.

Minnesota I'm on the fence about because they can win but they can also lose, with Rubio going down it's legit a flip of the coin. Not to mention Wiggins motor is extremely low and doesn't have takeover the game consistency yet.

We'll just have to pray they win.

Being a 10th seed doesn't help us get anywhere this year. You fellas need to realize that.

Best strategy at this point is to tank.

Send Phil an email. Perhaps a letter. Convincing people here does nothing. I'm sure you realize that though.

No discussion on this forum "does anything" in that nothing actually impacts the day-to-day operations of the NBA. Thankfully it still exists to let us share opinions.

True, but you appear to be attempting to rally support behind something that has no chance of happening. The discussion is ok, but the receptiveness is corny. Just my opinion though. Watching games and participating in game threads, but rooting for losses is weird, but do your thing man.

I'll root for a win, but these games are basically a player evaluation on who is improving and who isn't for next season. So expect more 10 man rotations, and mix and match lineups.

I'm not confident in the band of jokers that's for sure.

I think that people who are pro-tank are not really cheering for losses. They may post on the internet "oh boy another miss, thats another ping pong ball!" but I am sure they are actually in person cheering for the win.

I can relate my experience: This season, I really don't care about wins/losses. We could go 2-80 and it would not affect me. Truth be told, I would be interested in the draft and about what could be done in the off-season. Remember the Miami Heat were basically created after an abysmal season. Ironically Toronto helped Miami steal Bosh because they sent down JO's expiring deal for Marions corpse. That roster somehow managed 48 wins (not much of a somehow, literally every other team was terrible)
From that roster they kept 5 guys: Wade, Haslem, Joel Anthony, James Jones, Carlos Arroyo.
It would be similar to use only having Melo, Cole, Hardaway, Early, Pablo.

Bottom line: losing today could help us a lot for the next 10 years. I won't be mad if the team tanks. I will support this regime since they have a plan.
