The New York Knicks are expected to be active in trade talks once free agents who were signed in the summer become eligible to be traded on Dec. 15.

Sources say J.R. Smith is the player the Knicks are most interested in trading away.

Smith is averaging 10.3 points in 25.1 minutes per game this season, down from his 18.1 points in 33.5 minutes in 12-13.

Smith has a player option for the 15-16 season.

who knows if this true since broussard wrote it, but i would excited if it happened. not only do we get rid of scrub who cant play ball we would free up 6 mill in cap space. i would trade him for a second rounder..that would be ideal

How is this news? They've been most interested in trading JR for years now. It's just unlikely that anyone would give up an expiring for him. We might be able to trade JR for someone with a worse contract than him, like Eric Gordon or OJ Mayo.

Not really man, look at his game log: http://www.basketball-reference.com/pla ... elog/2015/

Last 12 games, he's only had two really good games (one against Portland, one against Denver). Other than those, the rest have either been "ehh" or "bleh".

THjr has not shot under 40% over the last 4 games.

most talented is not the same as the best. he is far from the best SG for this team. as a matter of fact, the worst.

No, do NOT under any circumstances set out food bait for Felton. The Knicks drove him to a far away place and left him there. He can't find his way home without a strong food scent trail.

Jeremy Lin for JR Smith realistic?

Lakers save 2.5 million over 2 years with the possibility to save 9 million overall.

I am in now way proposing this deal because I'm a crazy Linsanity fan, I just brought up Lin because he is the biggest expiring and we are more likely to get a deal done if we can save a team some money.

4-20 and the Knicks think trading their most bonehead player is the best idea.
