If this offseason went perfectly, who would you have as starters for the Knicks next year?

Assume we are able to trade Calderon, and clear his salary for next year, leaving us with 33 million to spend on free agents.

Choose your first round pick.

Be realistic in terms of salary.

PG: Mudiay

My dream lineup has LeBron opting out and joining the Knicks.

The defense around Melo

I would keep Jose. Sign Beverly/Carroll/Kofous for 15mil or so combined. Draft Okafor. Keeping at least half of the current roster.

Jose/Beverly/Langston/THJr/?/?

Melo/Carroll/Koufos/Okafor/Smith/Thomas and either Acy or Amundson.

Bring up Thanasis

Vet minis fill out the rest. Look to solidify the team the following season.

Leave the rest of the cap for 2016.

I said my best case scenario would be to sign Bron this summer and KD next summer. I got flamed and the thread got locked. I wonder why???

Anyway - if we waste a lot of money on Draymont Green I'd be pissed..I mean he's a good role player, but is starting to become the most overrated player ever.

Hopefully we get a top three pick...whether we do or not - our first priority should be to pair Melo with Bron...and if we can succeed in doing that - we go hard after KD.

Yeah, honestly, if I'm going dream scenario, I'm trading Melo for a few 1sts/whatever and hope we draft future stars while signing a few solid role players to help guide them along.

And it's telling, perhaps, that I consider this my dream scenario.
