I bought this book, wow, 10 years ago, but forgot all about it until I found it at my parents house a few weeks ago. Good book for people who don't have the physics/science background
I'm also reading a Walking Dead novel, Rise of the Governor

I'm reading two books. One is Fahrenheit 451, to discuss with my younger son, and the other is Richard Dawkins' The Magic of Reality. I love Neal Tyson and listen to his Star Talk podcast weekly.
I know, I should be reading The Positive Dog.

Liked 451, nice to see you reading it with your kid. 1984 is better, but tougher. If you want a movie to go along with those 2 books, watch equilibrium. Top 5 favorite movie for me, and I hate action movies.
Love Tyson also. Cosmos was awesome

I also loved his Cosmos series. I was prepared not to like it after Sagan set the bar so high, but this one was even better. 1984 is a bit iffy for my 14 year old, as there is sex in that book and he is still a little young to appreciate that. I haven't seen Equilibrium but now is a good time to see it, because I'm not spending evenings watching the Knicks. Thanks

Would love some recommendations from you guys, I love psychology, preferred fact over fiction or anything that is emotionally intense and leave you in awe (could be scary, awesome w/e)
I heard House of Leaves and Salem's lot are ones of the best out there. What do you guys think about these 2?

Read all of Steve Rinella's books in the past year. Fantastic reads and I highly recommend. Currently on the 12th book of the wild card series, which has its moments (edited by GRRM).

I read that last year. Hope you enjoy it. If you like Murakami, you would probably like David Mitchell, particularly Number9Dream.
As for the OPs original question,
Currently reading multiple books, as I tend to switch around a little:
- The Book of Strange New Things by Michael Faber
- 1965: The Most Revolutionary Year in Music by Andrew Grant Jackson
- Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins
And I recently picked up Elizabeth Warren's book, A Fighting Chance, but haven't started it yet.
I read Death by Black Hole a while back. If you enjoy NdGT, and don't mind that it gets a little too mathy at times, you will like it.
