I'm excited for this series. I enjoyed the last one even though Mets lost.

Mets will have Matz, Thor, and Harvey pitching. What about the Yanks?

Starts tomorrow at 7:10 PM ET.

I believe it's Tanaka, Pineda and Sabathia scheduled.

Glad the Mets are legit, now they have to prove they can get it done in October.

At least us Yankee fans know they're getting eliminated in the NLDS cause Tex is out, Eovaldi is hurt, and CC is 1/4 of what he used to be.

Sadly this is where King Stannis and his army funded by the bankrupt Iron Bank of Wilpons was robbed by Bernie Littlefinger Madoff.

Let's go YANKS! ;)

Yanks had a good run this year, and will finish with way more wins than anyone thought especially Vegas (80 Wins was their under/over). In hindsight, I'm happy they didn't part with any of their young players at the deadline. Bird and Severino are looking like the real deal. ARod and Texeira were both renaissance men this year and made for some exciting moments. Yanks will still make the playoffs, but obviously don't think they'll get very far. But you never know!

As for the Mets, this right now is their chance if they ever had one before. Cespedes is hitting like Bonds in 01, and they have the pitching to go up against anyone in the league right now. Not getting Carlos Gomez turned out to be a huge blessing in disguise. I've never HATED the Mets, as a Yankee fan, simply because they've been that much of a threat and they play in a different league. I'm interested to see how far they get this season.

Skankees will catch a break this weekend. The Mets are just playing out the rest of the season trying to get ready for the playoffs. Yes, it would be nice to catch the Dodgers for home field advantage, but whatever. The Skanks, however, are fighting for their lives. :D

Same here man. They were getting the best of us lately without Stanton.

And they had those walk off games a couple of weeks ago where they were celebrating like they won the WS.

I don't think the Mets can tbh. Their schedule was pretty weak the last 1/3 of the seasons. Most games were wins were against Phillies, Marlins, Braves. Other than the Nats, the Mets have struggled against any team over .500.

The starting pitching is good, but the relief is a big question mark. Familia has nasty stuff. But come playoff time, I will be a little nervous with him on the mound because he's so young. Sometimes he loses composure and control and his pitches go everywhere but the strike zone. Clippard is too old school for my taste. He throws 79 mph changeups across the plate, which will always come back to bite you in the ass. But he's still the best inning 8 guy for the Mets. Collins is still experimenting with the inning 7 and 6 guy (yes, we need a inning 6 pitcher because Matz and Thor tend to labor).

Sure is. Mets won't be any better next year tbh.

- Next year, the Mets are likely losing Cespedes, Murphy, K. Johnson, and Uribe.
- Wright isn't going to get any healthier. He's going to remain the slap hitter he is now.
- Plus, Duda has to get a new contract this off season.
- Clippard and Colon's contract expire next year too.

I mean skill wise bro. He lost that high speed pitching and some control.

Sabathia looks like he may be catching a 2nd wind. He's had his 2 best games of the season the past 2 times up. Last 2 games - 0.71 ERA, 1.059 WHIP, 8.7 SO9.

But I admit, they're a legit team after those trades, no?
