Sounds like, with the proper teaching and grooming, he'll either be useful or a waste of a slot. He won't greatly impact a game, but can be helpful in spurts.

I thought he was a solid player coming out of G'Town. He obviously hasn't been able to stick, but should be a good body to have in camp.

I used to really like this guy in college. Has the ability to make highlights (dunks and threes) but he was missing intagibles to be able to stay in the league.

Honestly though, if Early hasn't shown great improvement I could see Greek or Dajuan giving him trouble in training camp

I wouldn't hold my breath on that one. If Early is getting any sort of significant minutes this season then we're in trouble man

Phil Jackson is currently executing what will end up being the greatest rebuild in NBA history.

Fact is, one of these no-names will end up being a major contributor to our future title team (probably 2018 or 2019).

Tis a glorious failure of a project. I heard Randolph Morris wants to sign. ;)

So we go with no backup SF this season? Early should have to play 15 mins ish range to consider us having a rotation. Unless we plan on allowing AA to slide down to 3 after Melo is subbed out or moved down to 4 we need early to improve or one of these reclamation projects to be decent.

Personally I don't see D-Will playing much 3 for us this year, doesn't shoot well enough and too slow laterally but I could be wrong

That would be like acquiring another 1st Round pick. If Phil could pull this off, he'd be a genius!

Early better at least come with a 35% jump shot from 3 this upcoming season because his handles are probably only a notch above Lopez's. If he doesn't improve then that will be 15 minutes of net negative production. Damn, this season could get real ugly if 1 or 2 players end up injury prone

I know summer league is no true barometer but, he looked really good. I'd rather wait until at least pre-season before considering him an after-though. His injury set him back but, he has a good skill set and the oft used "potential" label.

I expect him to give us at least what Timmy was supposed to give but, that me being hopeful.

Honestly, I think that the only reason he looked good is because he's older and has some NBA experience so he wasn't clueless out there on the floor. I was paying a lot of attention to his skills, and they didn't look improved to me. He was mainly scoring off of cuts and running the floor which is stuff that he could always do and was doing in last year's summer league. HIs 3 point shooting and ball handling still looked disgusting
