Hope his foot is nothing. I've been delirious this season thinking about a decade plus of this kind of stuff.

KP's game is really developing right before our eyes. Hes so smart. Started the season using all his energy to do the dirty work in crashing the boards and making opportunistic buckets while he was adjusting to the NBA game and others weren't focusing on him. Now 2 months later he is now starting to utilize his quickness and ball handling to score on his opponents who game plan for him heavily. And you know what? Hes having his most efficient month yet.

Oh, and hes extremely likable and humble too. Imagine what this guy is gonna do with a full offseason or two

We got a starrrrrr. The perfect one for NYK's future.

Foot bruises are nothing to scoff at. I just hope it doesn't turn into something worse.

He's almost answered the bell to every criticism aimed at him from people (including myself). Kid has a great future ahead of him if he keeps working hard.

A little detail about his game, wouldnt it be hard for others to adjust to his offensive rebounds, putbacks? The way he attacks the rim, but you cant get into early box out positions cuz you need to be on him all the time for his shooting threat

I know this is super premature, and someone in here is bound to get irritated (or possibly enraged, knowing the tendencies of some posters) but assuming KP continues to develop at the current pace and avoids serious injury, what do you think his averages might look like next season? I definitely think the ballpark of 18 ppg and 10 rpg along with 2.5-3 bpg is attainable for the guy. If the Knicks can get 1-2 impact free agents this summer, the team could really go places. We might be talking about KP as one of the top PFs in the league instead of just a very promising young player.

Going on this path, this could be his averages next season:
17.5 pts
10.3 rebs
1.8 asts
2.3 blks
46% FG
36% 3PT
87% FT

i hope the knicks are smart about this injury and rest him for a few games before bringing him back. no need to really push him. KP is a pros pro, i know he wants to be out there but sometimes an organization needs to step in and prevent a player from getting ahead of themselves.
anyone also confused on why KP didnt get and xray at a minimum? **** i would of sent him to get a MRI just to be safe.

Lol, why would somebody get mad at a post like this?
Next season, I expect him to give us 17-18 points, 9-10 rebounds, and 2-3 blocks while shooting 46% from the field, 35% from 3, and 87% from the line. With the way that he's been improving, I think that this will be realistic production from him next season. For next season, I want him to be more assertive, demand the ball more, and get to the line more.

He could genuinely be All-Star next season imo some rookies make giant leaps 2nd season and El Porzio seems one of them undying enthusiast of the game

Those would be pretty exceptional 2nd year stats, and in line with the trajectory for greats like KG and Dirk. Definitely need to get this man a decent guard/playmaker to complement him.
