If he does, would it not be worth the gamble to sign him for the rest of the season?

The Knicks are 5 games removed from the playoffs, and they need to make a drastic move if they want have any chance of making it.

Yeah, I'd do that...it's a shot in the dark and I wouldn't be too optimistic about it but it's no risk at all when Calderon is the alternative.

doesnt matter, from everything thats being reported, Phil has no interest, and likes taller PG's.

you guys are better off coming up with new ways to justify Phil striking out again. We arent getting anything.

the kinds of players potentially available after getting cut are as good as the ones available in trade honestly

Lee, Lawson, Stevenson

unless we are gonna guy the team for someone like Teague, Howard or Gasol we have just as much to gain from one of the above as anyone else out there

and it won't cost us any assets

it may not be sexy but sometimes its better not to make a trade

sasha, oquinn, seraphin for lawson. rockets get two expirings and o quinn is a decent enough player to earn minutes in their rotation. just make sure he plays center.

what in the holy hell would we want to do that for?

KOQ is actually a very solid young guy on a great contract and you want to send him for a guy who's getting waived?

sometimes knciks fans make me truly despair

how can anyone take you seriously?

well KOQ is in and out of our rotation. Hernangomez is most likely coming next year and there's a 99.9% chance we will go for Pau Gasol this summer.

none of which changes the fact that KOQ is a skilled passer, reasonable shooter, reasonable defender and rebounder and makes very very little on a several season contract thats gonna be basically vet min in the next cap

you simply don't trade a guy like that

and Fisher's rotations mean nothing

Rambis may use him as may Thibs, if we land him

Drunk ty lawson is still most likely better at D then cAlderon, so I'm all for it.

lets not pat any people on the back because of time spent here. we have mods who have been here a decade and dont understand what "assets" are. and besides that , some of the most actively daft posters here, have been here forever. self included o/

all Im saying is that he joined about half a season into Jacksons tenure and made his handle FirePjax

which is pretty pathetic to me

unfortunately many can already see the future, because weve been here before. Im not completely giving up on Jax yet, but I dont see it ending in any form of success. I expect him to bail back to LA, long before were a 500 team again. This FA is already looking like another strike out. The Kid might be onto something, but unfortunately were gunna have to sit through and deal with it.

I would take a risk and bring in Ty Lawson if he is to get waived. But he would be on a short leash.
