Because he can pitch long or short relief and start. Like Adam Warren. He's not great but he's versatile. They are both likely candidates to get replaced by better, younger guys in the minors once the Yankees are comfortable with them, probably next year. Even Cessa was getting more long relief opportunities, so probably not long for these guys.

Did you just compare Mitchell to Warren? Warren has been the Yanks most dependable reliever all year. Its obvious why Mitchell was in the game because it was 7-1 in the 9th, and he couldn't even get an out he's pathetic.

Warren's been great; he's the definite keeper of the two. I was just pointing out they both have the ability to pitch short, long and spot start. Someone was asking "why they keeping him?" He might be the weak link in the pen, but that's the reason they've held on to him so far. I would suspect it's not past this year as better arms come up.

Adam Warren has been a key pitcher ESPECIALLY in middle multi-inning duties. When Chase Shreve was the emergency starter for 2 innings, I kind of thought to myself...um, why not start Adam Warren who can get through 3 innings relatively unscathed.

Holliday was great earlier in the season. I'm hoping he can find last bit of whatever he has left in the playoffs. Father time may have caught up with him but thankfully he was only signed for a year.

So much for winning the first game of the series, already down 3-0 in the 5th.

Gary is a juggernaut offensively.
Brooklyn Nets
Damian Lillard - Rajon Rondo - Trey Burke
Victor Oladipo - Wes Matthews - Javon Carter
Caris LeVert - Derrick Jones Jr. - Glenn Robinson III
Andre Igoudala - Killian Tillie - Trey Lyles
Joel Embiid - Taj Gibson - Kevon Looney

Yanks put up 12 hits to only 4 from Boston. 6-3 Yanks.

put a strikeout limit on the entire team next year. No one allowed to have more than 100 Ks otherwise fines or extra sprints

Kahnle has been terrible since he came to the Yanks. I know Rutherford was falling out of favor but if we made that trade mostly for Kahnle than that trade is even worse than I thought when it happened. Thankfully Robertson has been good.

Kahnle throws 100MPH and throws Moreland three straight changeups down...
All-Time Draft

PG- Oscar Robertson/Bob Cousy
SG- Earl Monroe/James Harden/Dana Barros
SF- Billy Cunningham/Michael Finley/Chet Walker
PF- Elvin Hayes/Dolph Schayes/Tom Chambers/Danny Manning
C- Walt Bellamy/Neil Johnston/Darryl Dawkins
