Would have liked to rest Green today but thats ok have him pitch the 7th, maybe pitch Betances in the 8th and have Ben Heller pitch the 9th, would be nice to tack on another run or 2.

Would of been great to get that sweep but as long as we keep winning series and taking 2 out of 3 we will be in playoffs. Most of our final 24 games are at home and were a great team at home, we will be alright. Just hope Foston starts losing a bunch of games, they have way too many game winners this season, while we blew alot of games, not fair.

Amazing how good the Yanks look when they get anything out of the over the hill gang of Holliday, Headley, Frazier or Ellsbury

In fairness, Headley has been rolling lately.

Kahnle looks unhittable in non-stressful situations...smh

He's been really good against every team but Boston. They were on his changeups way too easily during their games. Conicidence? I doubt it

Sanchez is back, and Clint Frazier might join the team this upcoming series.

The offense is finally back at full strength and putting up the runs we were seeing at the beginning of the season. It was never a mystery what was wrong with this team. When you are missing guys like Castro and Holiday for long stretches the team is bound to struggle and it puts extra pressure on the pitchers. 8 early runs must have felt nice for Grey today.

The difference is, the hitters who get base hits are at the top of the lineup. Judge also is not waving at every pitch. He's back to having a good eye.

Quite the Ace like effort by Tanaka. Up 5 runs and give them all back and then some. What is it now, 1.5 games up on the Twins for the wild card and 2 on the Angels? Way to try and pitch the Yanks out of the playoffs

Severino. Now THAT'S what an ace does. Steps up when the team needs it!

Yanks hung in there and got the win vs. Texas.

Severino's ERA is now under 3. WHIP 1.05, 211 K's in 176 innings.

Seriously, when was the last time a Yankees starter has had a year like this? CC. I'm taking Severino 2017 over CC's big year easily.

Let's not forget this has been one of the biggest offensive seasons in history too. Really impressive. His ERA+ atm is better than any Sabathia seasons

Yeah it after a lot of premature ejaculations it does look like he's finally getting his groove back. It's not the HR's but the walks that are the biggest indicator that he's back. When he is slumping he was chasing things. Now he's not. And with him chasing less pitchers are forced to throw the ball in the zone which he can now crank.

Once these guys stop swinging at everything OMG!! Also Didi and Castro are perfect hitting together because they are both base hit guys. Imagine if they never got hurt. Gardner as the lead off man is starting to piss me off.

And he's only 23. What' really impressive is that he's throws just as hard late in the game as he does early in the game...and with the same great control. That's a potent arm right there.

Severino is seriously dealing right now. Also happy Chapman got his job back. We will need him.

I still very much believe this team can go far, just need to get our bullpen right.

Betances has been struggling his ass off, 4 out of his last 5 outings he has given up at least 1 run. I cant say I trust him with a 1 run lead in the playoffs. Chapman has been better, but I also cant trust him. We need these guys to finish off the season extremely strong. Our bullpen can potentially lead us deep into a postseason run.

Our offense has been much better as of late too. We only have 3 true road games left for the rest of the season, need to get to work and do some damage at home. Still think we can win the division. But then again, every time I start to believe we can take the division, the Yankees turn around and lose in spectacular fashion. Gotta be more CONSISTENT!
