after going 1 for his last 14, rosario went 3 for 4 today with 2 doubles. he now has 9 doubles, so much for "lack of power"

this kid is ready and mets need life.

The Coupons would rather save a buck (i.e., have longer/cheaper control) than infuse life into this team. The Mets will continue to be subpar until they sell the team. The 2015 team over-performed.

They have one of the highest payrolls in baseball. This is what Dolan meant when he said all the owners in NY are hated. The team has already won 3 straight series (Nationals, Braves(technically), and Marlins) yet for some reason they desperately need to "infuse life" into the team.

Yes, they won three series in a row, but the way in which they won is not sustainable. The team offensive stats support that.

bNo's laying a foundation for bringing up and starting Rosario at SS, tomorrow.

yeah because the moment he gets called up he becomes the teams 2nd best hitter.

LOL. What are you? The ghost of Casey Stengal?

perhaps you're not understanding this situation. rosario isn't only the #1 prospect in the mets organization, he's the #1 prospect in all of baseball.

he's the elite. the ball makes a different sound when he makes contact.

Ok, you won me over.

But that doesn't fix the pitching, which is the cause of our woes.

6 weeks before he can even throw. :noway:

We have Lugo, who is now throwing, who should be back in May. Matz, I have no info on.

Sandy signed some pitcher named Milone (Tony Milone?) to a minor league contract.

Tommy Milone, I believe he was an original nats draft pick but he has been a journeyman lefty pitching for the OAK and MIN in his career.

Milone pitched well last night. I'm more worried about a plodding team that strikes out a lot and can't steal a base or play defense.

Wingo, did you see any Mets in HSS when you were there? They must have their own wing at that hospital by now.

The first time I went there, I walked past Dr. David Altchek's office. I think he does the arm surgeries.

Do the players have to take a number outside of Altchek's office before they can walk in?

Haha. Nah, they don't even have to have an appointment. They walk in and sit at Altchek's chair with their feet on his desk while they wait for him.

The earliest it would be is the 61st game, whenever that is. Mets aren't going to start the clock on him.
