I'm so glad I got to grow up and enjoy baseball the way it was played back in the 60s, 70s, and 80s.

Technology and some advanced stats have ruined the game.

Realmuto to the Phillies.
Are they better than us now?

I think it depends on how our pitching performs. If deGrom, Syndergaard, Wheeler, and Matz stay healthy and pitch up their capabilities then I think we're in the playoffs for sure.

The scary part about the Phillies is that they still might sign Harper and Keuchel. If that happens, on paper they will be better than us easily.

Phillies get Realmuto for one good prospect and a bag of potatoes. The Marlins are so backwards.

Jeter doesn't know what he's doing. Our offer was so much better.

He overplayed his hand so bad. He’s a rank amateur.

mets dodged a bullet trading a great player for a player who’s only good because he plays a weak position.

Catcher is a weak position? How so?

name 5 good catchers

mets signed one of them .

posey is average.
grandal is okay
sanchez sucks and has to bounce back
ramos is good when healthy

then there’s realmuto who’s very good but catcher is a weak position across baseball so he’s #1. default but not because he’s great.

So now you're finally admitting that Realmuto is very good?

Realmuto is so overrated. They treated him like he was prime Pudge. Disrespectful to the position, lol.
Brooklyn Nets
Damian Lillard - Rajon Rondo - Trey Burke
Victor Oladipo - Wes Matthews - Javon Carter
Caris LeVert - Derrick Jones Jr. - Glenn Robinson III
Andre Igoudala - Killian Tillie - Trey Lyles
Joel Embiid - Taj Gibson - Kevon Looney

The funny thing is i don't ever remember anyone saying it wasn't a somewhat weak position in baseball right now. It's just that many of us wanted us to trade for Realmuto and somehow he turned his Realmuto is overrated talk into somehow everyone saying that catcher was a strong position in baseball right now. Anyone who watches and knows MLB knows there's not that many great catchers in the game right now. But i'd still love to have Realmuto who is the best catcher in the game right now even though it's somewhat weak.
