The Mets say Yoenis Cespedes has broken both his ankles in an accident on his ranch. The team owes him approximately $21.3 million more this season.

You cannot make this stuff up. #Pray4Cespedes

Of course

When people say Mets are going to Met and you try to argue it, then something like this happens. I swear its like we're still paying the price for the ball getting by Buckner.

Maybe the curse is not baseball related. Maybe it's that our owners are not good people and Jeff is horrible to his employees? I think it karma coming back on the team because of them ... possibly.

Is Kay on an innings limit for this season?

last year was his first full season back from tjs and pitched 120 innings, so i'm assuming 150-160 innings would be his limit.

i hate doing this because every start counts, but if you remove david peterson's start where he gave up 7 runs in 1.2 innings, his era goes from 3.93 overall to 2.31 era.

his last 4 starts:

20.2 innings
19 hits
6 walks
27 strikeouts
0.45 era

Your boy hit a moon shot tonight.

he's 26 homeruns away from breaking the mets single season record.

if he stays healthy he's breaking it.

What do you guys think about Callaway bringing in Zamora for Familia last night?

rather than booing cano for not running after hitting a groundball, you guys should be booing him for hitting groundballs in the first place.

Not every BP is as bad as the Nats but we needed these badly. Now let's take - at least - 2/3 from Tigers.
