The kid was a star QB growing up but broke his right wrist when he fell out of a tree he'd climbed. As a result, he couldn't play football anymore so he turned to basketball in high school and became a star, apparently. I had never heard of him.
A lot of NY schoolyard/high school/college (Brooklyn College ... after stints at Ohio University and three junior colleges) in the film. I found it interesting and entertaining. Dude was a NYC schoolyard legend.
Wally's interview in it.

Wow, never saw this. This is a friend of mine's uncle and I remember when they were filming this. If im remembering right, Justin Timberlake wanted to pick this up and take it to some film festivals at the time.
blackjack used to torch the Rockaway summer classics league in the 90s. Really is an incredible basketball player and a hilarious guy.

Welcome To The After Party
For the lurkers who have been here, always wanting to take part in discussion but feeling overwhelmed by the familiarity of the vet posters... this is your launchpad (if you so choose).
Introduce yourself, get familiar with the "STFUs" and "GTFOs" of the world.
I know we also have a lot of foreign posters and lurkers here too, don't be afraid, that's just a weird ass American custom...we welcome you too, and look forward to your favorite trade ideas and gripes about the team or League!
If you ever have a problem please feel free to send a message to ANY Knicks Mod.
==============================
For the Vet Posters, this is your lounge. Come in, put your feet up, grab a drink and chat away.
Unlike the old Community Thread, we will monitor this thread. So keep it civil, light hearted, AND no dirty pics.
Now, STFU & GTFO!

I've been a long time lurker (Isiah era). I had an account, tried it out for a bit and realized It wasn't for me at the time (I was 15yrs old). I figured I would give it another go since I lurk so often.
About me:
- 27 years old
- Grew up in a household full of Knicks fans.
- An Occupational Safety and Health Manager.
- USMC veteran
- D.J. and produce music as a hobby.
I'll STFU and GTFO now.

The book is titled "Tupac: The Modern-Day Messiah." I utilized Tupac's interviews and quotes as symbols to correlate with Board vs. Brown, Maclolm X, Plato's Cave Allegory Theory, Kendrick etc. etc.... The premise of the book is how Tupac foreshadowed a lot of the chaos in current America, including police brutality, racial oppression, and economic inequality.

Super bummed about that one. I guess his music should've been a clue he's a creeper.
