Sasha died the very first scene. That was her taking the pill and settling in.

I already knew what would happen to Sasha but missed the Hathaway connection which I shouldn't have. I was very upset when that actually happened years back. Such a talented dude. Anyhow good call.

Why doesn't the group just pack up and leave? Gather a bunch of resources, pile into a few RVs and just drive west in the middle of the night. What incentive is there to stay and go to war with a psychopath and his army? Revenge? So you can keep your cushy homes? Alexandria isn't the only inhabitable suburb in the country.

It's the reason this show sucks. If characters just stopped acting like idiots and made the obvious decisions, the entire plot of the show falls apart. So stupid.

Maybe they could just pack up and leave, but that wouldn't make the show interesting. What would the ratings be if instead of fighting Negan they just left and headed West to some peaceful place?

Honestly probably about the same it doesn't matter how bad this show gets zombies = ratings.....

If you ever need to say "well then there would be no show" that's a sign of two thingns bad writing and a show has been on the air to long... when you have to force characters to do stupid then they things in th face of logic just to keep a show going it's time to bail as a fan

the first moment I saw "the taking dead" I knew AMC had zero artistic integrity, lmao now they even have "talking Saul" really? chris hardwick makes me sick hes paid shill that talk about how "great" and "AMAZING!" these shows are when they could put on honest show that maybe goes behind the scenes but its just a brown nosing, hes worse then the fake fanboys on youtube that make a career out of hyping up superhero movies and starwars literally what RLM makes fun of :banghead:

Yeah so A LOT of what's been going on in this show falls into what I call "unbelievable unbelievable". Obviously with a show like this (i.e. zombies taking over the world) we are talking "unbelievable". But once we get past the "unbelievableness" of zombies, what you want is everything else to be "believable" ("believable unbelievable", "credible incredible", etc.). To do so obviously takes a lot more effort and (writing) skill, than simply throwing out a bunch of "stuff" hoping that the strength of the various characters and the zombies can carry the show. This is where TWD shows it's writing weakness. Sure they come up with smart little innuendo's here and there but this show at the end of the day is not well written. Sure it's better than Z-Nation which falls into the "silly or cheesy unbelievable unbelievable" category but at some point they may want to think about hiring better writers. Of course that's unlikely to happen since the guys that run this are the writers.

That women's community is going to be toast. I enjoyed the cartoonish battle.

That battle was terrible though.

In that relatively small confined space and close range use of automatic weapons, a lot more people should have died than actually did. You would figure between the "garbage people" and the Saviors that they'd be better shots. But no one was hitting anyone. Not to mention, at no point did anyone reload (a classic faux pas). Add to it the groups running at together in packs all shooting their guns at the same time reminded me of those B-Rate war movies made in the 70's.

I thought this was the worst season finale yet.

Yep. It goes to show that there really wasn't a lot of effort or skill put into developing realistic scenario's and depth. Absolutely a lot of this relies on zombies = ratings. Case in point, throughout most of the finale I kept wanting to see zombies. Even the Sasha finale was cheapened as you really didn't see much of zombie Sasha. And then whey they found her? WTF was that? Was like they were gently putting him to take a nap and she was letting them when she of all people should have been looking to bite their heads off.

The finale was so dull I was actually disappointed when the Kingdom and Hilltop spoiled Lucille's lunch.

But hey at least the CGI for Shiva was a lot better than it was for that deer in the amusement park.

On a zombie related note, anyone watch the Korean movie "Train to Busan"? Watched it last night after the TWD finale on Netflix and now that's a damn good zombie movie. Sure it borrowed some styling from World War Z but still that story line move a whole lot better and was much more believable than the TWD finale. I had to search for a zombie movie to make up for the finale and this did the job. Would recommend it (you just have to live with the English sub titles if you don't understand Korean but honestly you can pretty much follow this movie along quite well without even bothering to read the subtitles much...that's how good this movie was).

Imo the finale was, alright. The action towards the end was pretty 80s like other guy said I agree..like the old jean claude van damn or dolph lundgren films lol..n ezekiel was all noble chit it made me lol because it was so cheesy.

Last season' finale was straight up hot steaming pile of turd garbage so..this one was way better.

I recorded it to foward through the 50 minutes of commercials.

Last 3-4 episodes of sasha and rosita I kinda didnt care about their side stories or stupidity of them thinking they can kill neegan all rambo-like, and wanted them to die off..

Anyway, bring on better call saul and game of thrones for me..

Man, it's 2017, I can't believe shows are still doing that perfect timing crap...the tiger showing up the same exact second Carl was about to get it, is insulting to our intelligence.

Not only was the gun fight bad because of the automatic weapons/small space thing, but because a lot of these people wouldn't be able to tell who was who. Besides the Kingdom people in their gear, how could anyone know who to fire at with the 5 different groups (most strangers to each other) of people running around in a panic. A lot of friendly fire going on there I'd imagine.

Addressing bad writing... I just wish writers would simply think of a plot outline, and make the characters make common sense decisions throughout it, and write situations around those logical decisions where they could get into trouble...instead of dumb ones. Can't be that hard.

The comic should have stopped when Carl and Rick are alone after the prison and Rick appears to die. Leaving Carl alone. Done. Utter despair. Then start with a new group somewhere else at the onset. Maybe tie the two together at some point.

My interest sort of fizzled out this season. And all out war season 8 doesn't have me too excited either. I know it's a common complaint but they have to stop repeating this formula of new flavor of the month human villain group who's even more dangerous than the last. I actually like JDM as Neegan but I'm just sick of the role he's playing. Do something creative with the zombies, explore the mystery of the new world, be ambitious.

Yeah. The comic is actually terrible. The tv show won't be better.

Because ... plot. How did any of them get in the walls and how did they arrive so conveniently and know who to shoot.
