Not sure if this was posted or hes had a former personal vendetta out for Melo, but he's pretty much saying what we have all been thinking.

Really tired of making excuses for Melo. He's a black hole on the offense. He is literally the new Kobe of the league. Not that I dont have any respect for Kobe, but to really be a superstar I believe you must be able to adapt and change your game for the benefit of the team. Although Melo can light up the stat sheet, he has not done this. He has the capabilities to pass the ball but chooses to Iso ball even in pivotal moments of the game.

I'm a big fan of the Melo/KP bromance. Melo hasn't been trying to take over games all season, and people need to STFU and stop complaining when he takes shots. He's been playing great, taking the right shots, and KP can't score 100 points per night. Melo is a Knick until he retires, and is a great fit with our favorite Latvian.

No need to hand over anything, he took it by himself anyway

I think the approach Melo is taking is fine, he was a strong mentor last year. This year he is taking steps back and letting others help carry the load.

I do not agree that it is time for some formal passing of the reigns.

It will happen organically, and that's what we are seeing, people need to relax and let things happen.

It's kind of crazy that we're having this discussion when Porzingis is only 21 years old. We are really blessed that an argument can be made about Melo "stepping down". Feels good man.

Kellerman didn't even insult Carmelo there. He made a pretty compelling argument for it.

I imagine that Kellerman makes stephen a look silly all the time in arguments.

We already over discussing Melo in the post game thread. Sadly we only do it when he's off. Then say KP is just tried when he's off. Just let it be.

I just saw an article that mentioned Melo's touches per game are less than both Rose and KP as it is actually...and considering the efficiency from KP and Melo so far; I just want to see them keep building on what's already been developing.

Did people listen to what Kellerman said or did they just see the topic and assume this was a bash piece?

Woah, Im definitely entitled to an opinion and I know for a fact I'm not the only Knicks fan who feels this way. From the intangibles standpoint Melo might be helping out KP, but a good amount of the games this season Carmelo has been a step slow defensively. Even Markief Morris and Melo even seemed to struggle with defending Harkless late in the game last night. Carmelo definitely gets the recognition he deserves, especially in the Olympics. Everyone knows he's a versatile scorer. But I definitely do believe he should at least adapt his game.

And what does age have to do with being the number one option on a team... The wolves are a young team and Wiggins and Towns are their leading scorers..

This topic makes me sick because it's obviously a ploy to divide the fans into choosing one player over the other when it should be unity. Let everything come natural & stop trying to force agendas.
It's the reason why fans are negating home court advantage by booing their own player in Carmelo.
People never tend to get the bigger picture.

That's why nobody wants to sign here unless we overpay.

Don't be shocked if Porzingis feel a type a way about fans booing Melo too. Melo is a great player & he's being booed? You know he's already thinking about the fans booing him during slumps. He's doesn't want that.

I mean, what would it even look like. Melo would make some sort of grand proclamation and then both players would go out and play the same way anyway?

Didn't like the lack of ball movement in the end game generally, and that has to change. On a pragmatic level, that's the only thing I'm seeing.

Fans never booed David Robinson when Tim Duncan was there but Knick fans wants to boo Carmelo while KP is here.
