Knicks-Heat PG
When Melo was stumbling, KP had his back. It's only fair that Melo does the same. And booooy did he. Melo pumped in 35 pts, despite a slow start, and was basically the only thing keeping the game close in the first half. Can't put a 6'5" rookie on him and expect him not to cook.
Another game that saw KP kind of throw up a dud offensively. He was tentative, rushed a lot of the shots he did take, and seemed a little lost. But he hit the boards hard, and altered a lot of shots. He really needs to stop ball-watching on D though. Plus, that breakaway foul was one of the dumbest plays he's made all season. KP seems unable to take advantage of his mismatches, and if his 3's aren't falling, he's unable to find a rhythm elsewhere. Still, finished with 14/12/1. The march towards evolution continues.
KOQ basically sonning Whiteside physically, verbally, and especially mentally was pretty funny. Kyle turning in another glorious game that showed him gobbling up offensive boards, showing some surprising vert on dunks, and making some nifty passes. 12/7/3.
Noah had a strong game, posting his first double/double. He took himself out of if with a bunch of ticky-tack/dumb fouls, but it's good to see him getting more active out there.
C Lee quietly turning in a very solid game. 9/7/1 and pretty solid defense on the perimeter.
Lance Thomas must have heard you guys trying to snatch his mins away, because he came out and played like the guy we saw last year. 11/3 on 5/6 shooting. Can't ask for too much more. He may be up and down because of his foot injuries, so it's a good thing we have Kuz waiting in the wings.
Jennings was up and down, but I think he provided slightly more than he gave away. I felt a little uneasy without Rose down the stretch, but luckily, we didn't need him.
This was a game where we came out ironing-board flat, but managed to make some key plays and then let our defense grind them down in the 2nd half while Melo tucked us in.
Good win.

Re: Knicks-Heat PG
KP has a LONG way to go defensively. Dumb fouls, gets caught ball-watching, plays the ball poorly on the perimeter. Yes, his rim defense is outstanding. But he's clearly still uncomfortable free throw line extended. If he plays D tomorrow the way he did tonight, Love is going to go ham.
Good second half tonight from everyone following that sickening first half.
Get well soon, Rose.

Good win but we always put on the breaks when teams start coming Back. That's good and all but we have to learn to step on em.
Sucks Rose is hurt damnit can't catch s break.

Tomorrow we should break out Kuz imo. Can't afford having Lance's foot react in a bad way on a back to back.

If Phil pulled that off, I would put a put a paper bag over my head, paste a picture of Jeannie on it, poke a hole through the mouth, and give Phil the best BJ he's ever had in his entire life.[/quote]
