Knicks-Nuggets PG Thread

I'm at the game, so no in depth recap tonight.
Here's a thing we learned on this road trip...
Derrick Rose apparently is the difference between being a solid team and one of the worst in the league.
We put absolutely no pressure on the defense at all without him, and that's pretty much the ballgame since our defensive game plan on the perimeter most nights is to just stand close enough to stay in frame, but just far enough to not affect the shooter. And if that fails, just give up a layup. Above all else though, remember to never box out!
Stray observations:
- Did KOQ get injured? Honest question, because I don't understand why he never came back.
- The one thing Noah has been pretty consistent with is putting us in the penalty at the start of the second half.
- Whatever body part is injured with Rose should be harvested from Lance and Sasha.
Back to NY we go.

Everybody was moving in slow motion. Melo was the only one that really did anything positive.

Forget about the offense for a second. Forget about who's the #1 option, ISO vs. ball movement, who's hot or cold, etc.
We scored 114 points tonight.
We are ranked 25th in defense this season, and have been shuttling between 25th and 30th since the beginning. It has been absolutely atrocious. My feeling is that there isn't any emphasis placed on defense because there doesn't seem to be any coherent scheme, any attention paid to scouting reports (why we sending two guys to help on Faried

), and a lack of effort in fighting over screens, closing out on guys, or helping when help is needed. We were average or slightly above-average for half the season with Jose, AA, KP and Melo...and a whole roster that was overturned just like this season. There is NO EXCUSES.
Jeff told his guys in the preseason vs. the Rockets to just go out there and do whatever on defense. Would any self-respecting defensive-minded coach EVER do something like that? What self-respecting coach who cares about defense passes off the job of coaching it to Kurt Rambis, that f*cking perverted motherf*cker that nobody gives a sh*t about other than Phil?
What self-respecting coach doesn't use practice time for defending against PnR?
At this point, Jeff is nothing more than Mike D'Antoni. Heck, even MDA has Houston at 18th in D right now.

He's fighting Joe Smith from my home town. He graduated a few years after me with my younger brother. He has a few mutual friends and chilled at my crib once with a few people. He wouldn't remember me if he saw me, but I hope he knocks out Hopkins to end his career. Everyone here went nuts when he knocked out Fonfara. We never had a hometown hero.

Who was more hungry tonight, Baker Crowd or Faried aka Anthony Davis in the lead role of 'The Predator: You Will Never See Him Coming' ?

RoLo was a big part of that.

Why was KP able to play the 4 last yr? Was it because RoLo did a better job of cleaning up the paint, so he didn't have to worry about helping?

Folks, I love Rose and all, but anybody making peace with losses because Rose isn't there should have their head examined. He's got back spasm which often times are chronic. He's got a history of injury. This is a death sentence that we can't put away the Nuggets because the mighty Derrick Rose was out.

the Knicks gave up at least 30 points in every single quarter except for the 2nd (in which they gave up 29)...that is amazing
