Mods if you wanna close this and keep discussion in the Around The NBA thread that's fine, but personally I don't mind seeing any "major" trade deadline news get its own thread.
I'll be interested to see what the Lakers do now with Jordan Clarkson, Lou Williams, Nick Young, D'Angelo Russell, Brandon Ingram, Julius Randle, and any of the team's "assets". I assume that most of their roster and contracts are going to be completely wiped out.

I wonder if we offered melo and rose for Ingram Russell randle and 3 unprotected first round picks would he do it?

Nah, he's not that dumb. I also don't see Melo getting traded to the Lakers this season. However, Melo might be open to it during the summer.

You're right. Bet you he's going to try and trade all those young players and picks. He's probably thinking I could have a Cousins Melo duo right now.

I'd imagine Magic could make a pretty compelling case to Melo to come to LA now...

Magic runs a $700M company and has a very diverse resume in business. He knows a bit about navigating relationships, mitigating risk and everything else that comes with being a successful businessman.
Phil was coach, some would say the most opportunistic coach in history.
