UCLA plays no D. Cinci is an elite defensive team. Don't get excited for that game yet.

Ton of Money

The Celtics will be a hot spot destination for free agents whether we like it or not

Except for max free agents, did you not see the CBA changes? Gordon Hayward isn't gonna give up over 30 million dollars to go to Boston
Also, "young core?"
Thomas, Bradley, Crowder, and Horford are all 27 or older (Horford is 31! and they're paying him almost 30 mil a year for the next 3 years)
The only "young" players they have are Smart (role player) and Brown, who has a long way to go
And after next year, both Thomas and Bradley's contracts are up, and both of them are gonna command 25 mil +, so if they don't sign anyone this offseason, they're screwed for cap space
Not to say that the Celtics aren't in a good spot or anything, but Ainge is far from a genius, and they have a lot of work to do to become a contender

25-30 are the average prime years for players, so yes they are still young considering everybody except Horford is currently in their prime years.

As far as players leaving money, the Celtics have a ton of cap space, what part of that are you not understanding? They will have about 35+ million in cap space and can bid high and overpay annual salary.

And guess what? Even if they strike out on max free agents they can still sign complementary pieces to keep building their core and they still have the Brooklyn Nets 2018 draft pick to add to that next year. Lebron is getting older each year and the Cavs window is slowly closing, just in time for the Celtics young core to take over the Eastern Conference. Ainge is a genius!

Not only are they keeping the fans happy by winning and making the playoffs and making profit but they are collecting top 5 pick after top 5 pick after top 5 pick in the process. What teams do you know of that are able to say they are the 2nd best team in their conference, yet still collect a top 5 pick for 3 years straight? How is that not genius?

The max the Jazz can offer Hayward is more than the max the Celtics can, what part of that are you not understanding?
And by the time their top picks come into their primes, all the current core players will either be old or not on the team, what part of that are you not understanding?
Ainge took advantage of Billy King not knowing what he was doing, what part of that are you not understanding?
Picks are overvalued. Ainge has to turn those picks into good players before I give him credit, what part of that are you not understanding?

Oh, wait, I just remembered.
You're the guy who thinks Lauri Markannen is already better than KP, obviously reasoning with you is out of the picture
Never mind

Not sure if I'd say that yet, but I think Fox deserves to be in the same category as Ball, Fultz, DSJ. Right now, I'm gaga for Fox at 6.

Ball way too nonchalant right now. You have to be able to know when to press.

I think both will be fine players. I would take Ball over Fox still, but I love Fox, and think he's a top 3 pick in most drafts.

Fox's potential is through the roof. Picture him with the ball KP on one wing another shooter on the other and high Pick and Roll with Fox. He would have so many yaks per game. John Wall is John Wall because of his speed first and foremost.. it helps him defend.. helps him finish. I like Fox's speed with the ball and I love his defensive potential. And he's crafty. He could be like a souped up version of Mike Conley.
