I have not seen Robert Williams enough to be honest. Intruging player for sure. Not sure he's worthy of a #7 pick either though

I'm taking Monk OR Frank in a HEARTBEAT over any big man in the Lotto of a PG/Wing heavy Draft. Didn't we learn our lesson in 2010?! :-?

Yes we did, when the team picked Porzingis over Mudiay.

http://www.basketballanalyticsbook.com/2017/03/10/college-prospect-rating-cpr-version-3/

According to this Analytics site...there are 6 potential All Stars in this draft.

A CPR of 15 and above indicates Superstar
CPR between 10-15 is all star level

Ranked by CPR:
1) Monk 19
2) Fultz 14
3) Ball 14
4) Swanigan 13
5) Tatum 12
6) DSJ 11

It's interesting that Monk topped everyone with a score of 19...which slots him right between Steph Curry (CPR of 21) and Kevin Love (CPR of 17), Hassan Whiteside (CPR 17).

Harry Giles, unsurprisingly, scores a CPR of 1.

What do you think about promising young guard/wing Jonathan Isaac? I believe he plays for Florida I'm not sure if you've previously stated your opinion on him before.

Yeah, I do get that Jordan Hill vibe too. I just don't know enough about Mr. Williams.

I am hesitant on Monk though. Beast in college for sure, just not crazy about the impact that player can have in the NBA...At least for where the Knicks may be picking

Just imagine the night of the lottery, and then the night of the draft. Gonna be on pins and needles for both. Can't wait though!

It wasn't a PG/Wing heavy Draft in 2015. It was Big Man heavy and light on quality PG depth. ;)

Also, notice I said 2010 Draft. ;)

What does your crystal ball say? You know, the one that told you that Melo would no longer be a Knick after the trade deadline.

I get the caution. But truth be told, they all have risk with them, even my beloved Josh Jackson.

Funny thing is, and I mentioned this in the Draft thread 3rd Edition, Hill had BETTER numbers in college than A LOT of these higher ranked Big Men prospects.

Its really hard to nail down which prospects fit the triangle.

I dont think dsjr does but its my hope that phil will go bpa instead of triangle fit(which i highly doubt).

Which explains why i keep changing up my pick.

I reallllyyyy thought he would ruin the tank though.

Thats the only reason i wanted him gone even if it only was for a second round pick.

Draft board has Smith dropping to us to the 7 spot. Has Josh Jackson dropping to 5th and Tatum now up to #3.

Ive watched some Dennis Smith Jr tape.

He's a talent, but i'm not particularly blown away or impressed that he should be taken top 3. Certainly not over Ball.

I like that he can go left down the lane.
Love that he can finish at the rim.
Hate that he didnt play in a heavy PNR offense
Hate that he loves the iso on the wing/3ptline with the pullup jumper off 1-2 dribbles.

I just dont see a PG tbh. He's a SG

I just love that we are going to get one of these guys. Such a nice surprise. Going into this season I think a lot of us felt we would probably contend for one of the back end playoff spots, which would have been meh. Knowing we are going to add a youthful piece in one of the deeper drafts in recent memory is very exciting. When was the last time we had two (three if you count Willy) under 22 year old studs on the same team? Never?

Interesting. Because the player I want most after Frank Ntilikina, and Markelle Fultz is Malik Monk.

Dude, Monk, DSJ, Tatum, Ball, Jackson, Markhannen, etc all fit the Triangle (if that's the way we go).

See. Not hard at all. :)

Monk is very interesting prospect.

The first thing that jumped out at me is how high he gets off the ground on his jumpers. Its scary because a lot of guys who do that (e.g. Westbrook, Kidd gilchrist) tend not to be great shooters.
