I understand his frustration, but that guy was really angry crying. He knew getting those tickets were dicey, he just guessed wrong since he assumed LeBron wanted to playing against CP3.
Its lame how stars are sitting out games, I feel for the families/kids who lose out on a bunch of $ and kids who dont get to see their idols, but its just a smart thing to do. Resting players on specific days will avoid injury, and most important gets their team healthy for the postseason. Cavs have been hit with the injury bug at the worst times before, they probably feel it cost them a title 2 yrs ago and they will take the steps necessary to avoid any fatigue related injuries.
I never got to see Allan Houston/Michael Jordan when I was growing up. I wouldve been sad/frustrated as well if they sat out due to rest. But if the end result was a championship, I wouldve understood it and wouldve been just as happy that they won. Resting players likely also adds longevity for their careers.
I dont think there is a right solution to this. Even if the NBA completely eliminates back to backs, coaches will still find ways to rest their players.
