These comments are getting more and more pitiful.

Insulting Phil Jackson based on how you imagine he thinks about the separation. LOL.

Not even spinning a real reaction from Phil Jackson. Creating a fake reaction you think Phil would have in your head and insulting him for it. That's insane. That's like when your girlfriend gets mad at you because you were mean to her in her dreams.

That sucks

I wish people would keep things like this in mind when they bash people like melo and call him selfish for wanting to be in NYC.

It's not just the spotlight for most of these guys
It's their entire lives

This would be the foundation of the greatest reality tv show ever. Make them move in together. By day they're feuding over basketball philosophy, by night helping each other pick up chicks. Then cap it off bonding over a joint as they reflect on the past week. Noah could be the crazy neighbor.

I hope they work it out. It would be terrible that Melo was using that NTC to keep his family together.

Some things are bigger than basketball.

I hope they get it together.

I've assumed family has been the main holdup for him moving on.

I think so too.
Uprooting while on the rocks isn't good.
Taking this back to KG's(not ours) comments, maybe they have been on the rocks for years.

Sad if true.

1. This has been rumored for quite some time.
2. This might actually make it easier to trade Anthony.
3. As a child of divorce I can tell you that the kids are the one's that will suffer (so no one should be happy about this regardless of what it might mean for this team and the chances of trading Anthony).

I never realized until now that Lala is 5 years older than Melo. Lala is 37, Melo is 32

Just a random thought

This is a sad attempt at taking a swipe at a dude you don't like as a fan, who's going through a real life issue.

Let's hope you don't ever have to spend a day without your kids when they're at this age.

What is wrong with y'all? Speaking on other people's marriages is weird to me especially another man. Y'all was raised different.

What's with the gender roles thing? Gossiping isn't a specific female trait. That's caveman logic. There are women that won't say **** and there are men that love to spread the word. It's a human thing not a gender thing.

Sources close to the couple tell us the actress and NBA superstar are now living separately. La La moved out of the family home last week and has her own place in NYC now.

We're told the couple's had ups and downs in the past, but the current NBA season has been extremely stressful on the marriage for several months. Carmelo's been plagued by trade talks ... with the Knicks looking to move him to another team.

Our sources say the split is still amicable. They were together just this past weekend at their 10-year-old son Kiyan's basketball game.

We're told La La and Carmelo have NO plans to uproot Kiyan from his friends and school in NY.

Problem is ... it seems likely Carmelo will have to leave town, because just last week Knicks President Phil Jackson said it was time for him to go.

Neither is talking divorce yet, just separation. The couple got married in 2010.

Seems like she wants to stay in NY but Jackson forced Melo's hand to leave. Phil tearing up this team and relationships. Zen Master my ass.

edit: Lotta complaining sissy bozos in the comments crying so I will just say this is JOKE. Lighten the **** up you jerkoffs

Soooooo it's Phil's fault people are breaking up?

Don't get too personally invested. Good chance it was a sham marriage anyway.

Okay, so it's pretty established that Phil was gunning for Melo's marriage to get him to waive the NTC.

But what if Melo was using Phil this whole time? :o

To break up his marriage so he can upgrade to something younger and better? :eek2: :eek2: :eek2:

Both these guys are engaging in next-level mental warfare.

I actually think Phil might feel a little bad now if he's really been pressing the issue with Melo without any insight into what's going on.

Remember how he put JRs dirty laundry in the streets.

I just hope Melo uses this as motivation and he focuses purely on his son and basketball. Let everything else work itself out.
