Knicks looking to trade for another 1st round pick

Not satisfied with having only #8. Per Begley.

Someone post the sauce? I can't at the moment.

----------------------

Edit: I originally saw this blurb about Begley's "report" on Instagram, from a "trusted source".

This is where it all originated from, from a much longer article about the lottery results:

Begley wrote:Jackson added, though, that the Knicks will keep their options open, including possibly trading their pick. They have also discussed the option of acquiring another first-round pick through trade, according to sources. Some members of the organization like North Carolina's Justin Jackson, a projected late first-round pick.

That's it. As simple as that. Now it's a story and a thread on RealGM. Let's discuss the possibility anyway.

That's not surprising considering who they're working out.

Ask Portland.

Didn't see this on his twitter but nevertheless....
The rebuild is coming.
Would love to see Lee and O'Quinn traded for draft picks.

I think so. But I guess it depends on the extent they've given up on Leonard.

Yes they need a backup Center badly. Festus Ezeli's career might be over. Myles Leonard can't rebound or defend. These guys had to use Al Farouq Aminu at center at one point in the playoffs. So yes they need a guy like KOQ

hmmmm yeah they probably would want us to take back a contract. Since I don't think KOQ has a mid round pick value

I wouldn't mind taking back a contract because I don't really care to sign any free agents. Adding picks seems like the better option.

Trade Lee & Plumlee for Turner and #20.

Agree to take on Myers Leonard for #26 & MIN/LAL 19 second (they draft for us, trade executed in the off season).

Trade KOQ to UTAH for #30 & 42.

POR save a **** ton of money and upgrade from Turner to Lee.

UTAH get a cheap back up center.

We get the picks.

I doubt they're shopping theirs but they have some later round picks.

Pablo and picks. Right direction, finally. But I'll believe it when I see it

Trade down. Dump #8 on Portland and take both their picks

Draft Ferguson and Kennard and Mason 3 in 2nd round

Mason 3
Kennard
Ferguson
KP
Noah

Is it worth it to offer Willy Hernangomez to Dallas for their #9 pick?

With back to back picks at #8 and #9, Knicks could potentially end up with two among Dennis Smith Jr, Malik Monk, and Frank Ntilikina.

It would be like having a Wall/Beal or Westbrook/Oladipo quality backcourt, but with Porzingis at center.

Why would Dallas give up their lottery pick for someone who even the Knicks see as a backup?

At that point I ask for 15 and try and get Diallo.

I would offer KOQ for Leonard and 20 though. One of Jackson (Justin) or Diallo should be there at 20 (hopefully?)

Well, I do recall us looking to trade Lee at the deadline, but there were no takers
