4 games? 5 games? This thread should do it. And then the offseason. We got one good game. Who can ask for more, really. Now FOH and lose so we can concentrate on the draft only!

Loving every minute of this. What a demoralizing loss! KD beasting and coming up clutch, and Lebron [hopefully] about to take that L, showing just how fortunate they were last year with the way everything played out.

The NBA is in a bad spot right now. Nobody is gonna be able to even give GS a conpetitive series for the next few years

I didn't watch one minute of the playoffs till Game 1 of the Finals.
Game 1 = yawn
Game 2 = yawn
I skipped most of Game 3 to watch Master of None, but turned it on at end since it was close, but let's face it, it was still yawn.
Kevin Durant > LeBron James
Master of None > NBA
The NBA is following a similar trajectory as the NFL. They opened up the game, encouraged offense/discouraged defense, sport gained lots of popularity...but it's peaked. Product has started to decline, it's also become too corporate (are they seriously going to put ads on jerseys?)...ratings will probably start to decline next season. ESPN regretting all the money it pumped into the NFL and NBA. The next TV contracts are going to shock the players in a bad way.

Time to completely rebuild. I hope we can get a little something for Melo/Lee and maybe even KOQ(though I would be ok keeping him). Just build primarily through the draft and young guys who haven't gotten a shot. No reason to even try to make a playoff run the next few years. Tank and draft high.

If you're going to rebuild, now is the time.
Washington Bullets? No chance.
Atlanta Hawks? No chance.
Toronto Raptors? No chance.
Boston Celtics? No chance.
Knicks need to just focus on one goal: drafting good talent.

You're underestimating the competition among networks and internet companies for live sports. The ratings are still through the roof relative to other programming. Product will be fine. Once the tv contract is up, the Warriors will be on the downswing anyway. Lotsa chicken littles. Watch the number they pull for game 3.

To be honest with you guys, after I watched tonight's game I don't understand why people are complaining about GSW being a super team or even LeBron, I watched and the only things I can see was how beautiful the game was, how unbelievable their shots were, how amazing some players are.
In terms of competitiveness, if you want to compete then get good and compete, don't complain about the other teams being too good because guess what? Whining is not going to change anything.
Also wanted to say that LeBron is amazing, he's the heart and soul of the Cavs(not like you guys don't know lol) but if you notice, the second he goes to the bench is when GSW capitalized. In my opinion, he needs more help, Love is unreliable and disappears in big games, Kyrie is the prime example of maximum offense with negative defense, JR stands for Just R3ta2d and Shumpert needs to learn how to Jumpert.

Saw that rappaport broom thing earlier. Respect to him, that takes some juevos.
Hope to sit close to the court in the near future to tell Shumpert how I feel about him. No venting on a forum.

Said it before the season and said it before the finals, Warriors were winning in 4 or 5. Love that they're going to win again.

Its a 30 team league.
If most of the people wants to watch stacked rosters to compete than they should play the league with 8 teams. I bet we'll see good season and postseason games. Many competitive allstar games. I'd like that.
But its a 30 team league and NBA has rules like
draft lottery-cap space to balance the league.
If there were no cap space rule, Knicks would be contender with 250m salary every year. If they dont use draft lottery rule imagine Cavs draft KAT.
I dont like stars joining at the same team.
I would rather watch Bosh's Raptors or Wade's Miami compete against Lebron's Cavs in ECF.
Last years playoffs was better. GSW against OKC with both WB and KD.
There are 30 teams in the league but at least 25 of them considering some ways of rebuilding.
Celtics won the East but some still think to trade IT for a pick and rebuild around those lottery picks.
How can you blame any of them?
For a 1 or 2 competitive NBA Finals game they make whole season and postseason games trash.

I"ve been saying for a while the league needs to contract, and that's in spite of the fact that there is more talent from the rest of the world than ever. The NBA has always had about 5 too many teams, at least. The talent level goes up in general, they just add more teams, maintaining the watered down talent problem.
Contraction will help. But. League office against it. Owners against it. Players against it.
10 years from now the NBA probably has 34 teams.
