Dotson showed us something in the summer league. Frank showed us he could sit out 5 games with a bruise.

frank showed us he literally got back from playing in a professional championship... after attending a draft on another continent... after playing an entire pro season and postseason.

it probably was into there remaining cap space....which was about 1.4 million.

So 1.4 million a year...3 years 4.2 million total with only 2 years 2.8 million guaranteed with a 3rd year option at 1.4 million.

that is what I assume.

Can't wait to see the numbers. Will probably turn this thread into another 40+ pager about how scrubs get overpaid on the Knicks. :noway: :noway:

He got a 3 year deal. Which contradicts the source who informed the Celtics mod with Orlando Summer League access that reported team brass wasn't sold on him.

Isn't a partial guarantee Always a team option? That's what makes it partial. The team has the option not to guarantee the contract for the entire year.

Yeah, if the last year is partially guaranteed, it's a team option. If it were a PO, it'd say so. There's no such thing as a PO with Partial Guarantee.

Also, we secure FULL BIRD RIGHTS with this deal.

He talked to multiple people at SL.

Just like with News Journalists, I wouldn't be surprised AT ALL if some of those people purposely fed him misinformation. It happens all the time and is a tactic all teams utilize.

Dotson seems to be a player and his deal mirrors it. Summer league isn't the all tell all, but to dismiss the play there is illogical. That's why there are so many scouts and execs there. Everyone is looking for players that can possibly be players in the NBA.

I would suspect the same that are putting SL play down wouldn't do so if Frank played and played well in it.

At any rate, what matters is how these youngsters translate into the league that matter....the NBA.

While Irving is all that, he's going to cost ALOT and we have no guarantees he's going to be around in 3 years. So my question to you is:
You'd do a Melo/Denver trade again, given what that brought us? Just 2 glorified years.

Thats the huge risk here, and some are turning in this particular hand., to play the next.
That's all.
