Frank Ntilikina Strengths/Weaknesses and Predictions

Post#1 » by NYKHardKnock » Fri Jun 23, 2017 4:02 pm

These videos are new, came out 2 days ago. What're your thoughts?

I've noticed throughout the strength video they list him at 6'6", which is interesting.

My take is he has a lot of work to do. Needs to work on creating for himself, handles. He's very raw. I dont know if I see a star, he seriously lacks aggression, I'm not sure if he can take over games imo. He should become a very nice piece.

What do you expect in his rookie season? Starter/Bench?
I assume he's going to come off the bench for the majority of the season and start throughout the season.

Do you think he'll make an impact offensively?
I'm not sure, tbh. He needs a lot of work.

Predict his rookie stats.

Crazy thing is he looks like he will still keep growing in terms of height and length. Sort of like how Durant kept getting bigger. Only 18

Agree with ceiling
His floor should be a bigger Patrick Beverly though

It seems like he's working heavy on his handle. He's really young so I'm not expecting much offensively right away. I don't think he's as raw as you're making him out to be though.

I think that's pretty fair, actually.

I'm surprised by your objectivity

Again, Knick fans CHEAT themselves. Everyone says, "Oh we're committed to rebuilding." Then the minute Phil Jackson drafts a 18-year old from France, someone who will NEED 2-3 years to Grow into his body and start showing his potential and SOME impatient fans fly off the handle.

This is a TRUE rebuild. Phil wants guys who will play the triangle. He's investing in moldable pieces and its his party so let him do it HIS way...

This franchise needs to build assets. Needs talent at EVERY position on EVERY level...

My only beef, Phil did not show as much creativity when it came to the TWO second rounders.

George Hill is a great comp for him.. I think he can continue to grow and could be a Kawhi-lite.

I think his immediate impact will be felt defensively. Offensively will take time.

Thinking 10 ppg, 3.5 apg, 1.2 spg, 4rpg...

Yeah George Hill is a good comp and I believe to be the best one I've seen. Jrue Holiday is another good one by Knickstape but, I think Jrue is a little more dynamic offensively than Frank will ever be. I like the pick specifically for what we're looking and how we're trying to build around KP. Hard working defensive minded dudes who can provide a little offensive punch. Getting versatile 2 way guys around KP seems to be the best way to build around him IMO and Frank fits the bill. As his frame out he should be able to switch 1-4 without killing us (yes I said 4 I think eventually gets to 6'6" or 6'7" with that reach he'll be fine contesting 4's) We may need another alpha scorer at some point, but I'm exceed for the future with the Frank/KP/WHG trio in tow along with the scrappy guys tend to find off the scrap heap the past few years.
