Pop chose the "poor man's Melo" over Me7o. Now watch them go to the WCF.

You mean Pop chose the only player that was a FA / was actually attainable. :-? You're better than looking at things without context...

Dont know why Kyrie even went on First Take today.

Dude was saying a whole bunch of nothing. Talking in coded language, trying to be careful in what to say. You can even see him being annoyed once when Max Kellerman wasnt satisfied with a non answer he gave and he tried to do a follow up question. If Kyrie is going to do a show like this, he needed to be more direct with his answers.

I didn't see a stats projection thread for the current team, so I'll just leave this here. It's the LO fantasy podcast Knicks preview.

- KP should go in the 20's at worst.
- if THJ can continue the stats he had during the last 1/3 of last season, he's going to be a top 75 fantasy guy.
- Melo outside the top 60 is a solid pickup, assuming the natural decline with a lesser role.
- WHG is a top 100 player right now and could go higher depending on opportunity. If he adds defensive stats this year, he'll shoot up quickly because the double double seems imminent.

We probably have 75-80 pts between those 4. Not sure how who else is going to add much.

Bogut signed for the Lakers. I was expecting him to go in Boston, actually...

Are the Lakers a playoff team now?

Lopez/Bogut
Randle/Deng
Ingram/Brewer
KCP/Clarkson
Ball/Ennis

I guess I'll give them a 1% chance because anything is possible. Randle streaky, KCP....streakier, Ingram has yet to show anything, Ball has shown less, and Lopez is absolutely due for an injury. Their best overall player who will actually last right now is Jordan Clarkson. Not sure how they are anywhere near playoff ready.

His post game would be a nice addition but they need rim protection and rebounding more than anything and Jah adds neither. But yeah, he needs some new scenery.

They're all fit coming into Nov. That's one thing they weren't last year. Ball looks more than capable of running an offense. He's a good player. Nance Jr was left off list above. Deng won't get minutes. Kuzma will get more than him, he looks promising. Ingram did come along late last season, had some good games. The FO change coincided with his increased aggressiveness. He definitely added some needed bulk over the Summer. The team looks good. Clarkson and Randle probably gone after next season, but Randle looks solid. We'll see if Zo can make him competent enough to bring a 1st rounder back.

They're just **** and what they call potential all stars looks like average players to me. Ingram will be good but he isn't Garnett or Grant Hill, Randle isn't Karl Malone and probably not even Z-Bo. Ball is a douche, so LeBron will take them to the playoffs if anything. Character-wise he's a great fit next to Ball.

A lot of people hate Okafor and are unwilling to see if he improves.

If he goes to the Celtics and scores 18 pts and 8 rbds with improved defense, the Sixers are going to look dumb.

He avg 17.5 pts and 7 rebounds his first year, before his injury.
He lost 20 lbs and looks healthier. He could be a good combo with a rim protecting PF, like Porzingas, Myles Turner, or Richaun Holmes.

Embiid has injury concerns anyway.
It would be surprise to see Embiid playing more than 60 games for next season. 30 mpg? Its hard to exceed that minutes for Embiid too.

Okafor would get his chance in 76ers. I dont believe there is any other team willing to trade good assets for him.
They shouldnt trade #2 in 2015 draft for a role player. Just retain him for 1 more year see how it turns out.

Isn't there a general board for fans of their teams to talk on?
