He said that before the draft, too, though.

Potential Tatum vs DSJ matchup in the quarterfinals if the Celtics clear Tatum to play.

Did you see that missed dunk by Smith? Dude is explosive! I know he's not a Knick but this is the "Around the NBA" thread. He looks like a stud.

Who ever locked that Dennis Smith Jr thread was pro active. I had a lot to post after that missed highlight dunk. Did someone say he had bad knees? I think someone made a mistake not drafting that dude.

If Smith was bad in summer league, that would have been a bigger surprise. We took Frank for 2019, 2020. Smith should be the better player in 2017,2018

Smith is good. But he's a little point guard.

Someone? How about many executives?

Knicks drafted to address a need for night in night out defense and stopping the point of attack. Fox and Jackson can be looked back as misses though, but its maaad early.

Teague can't finish at the bucket like Fox can and is going to. He's going to get bigger too.. he ain't going to stay skinny... look at his shoulders.

I totally believed Dennis Smith Jr is going to very good player. I also would not have minded if the Knicks drafted him. That said, I also believe he wasn't the kind of guard that would thrive in Phil Jackson system.

That leads me to this conundrum, the Knicks fired Phil AFTER the draft and when every thing pointed to it being a matter of time.

Now, the Knicks have a kid who may or may not suit their plans.

If it weren't for the fact, KP showed promise from the get go, I totally believe the Knicks would have sent him to the Craptors for underachieving, overpaid veteran du hour.

It also says a lot about the Knicks ability to teach young players to play if KP goes home and wants to play over the Summer to work on his post moves and workout regimen.

What's the track record for the Knicks developing players? Oh that's right. The Hawks helped Hardaway Jr to improve NOT the Knicks.

Telling you, the Brooklyn Nyets may rebuild faster than the Knicks.

If Rondo signs with the Pelicans, one potential trade partner in a multi-team trade might land Jrue Holliday in New York. For some, that's their boy so they'll be happy. He's an upgrade over Lee and will give Frank Nicotine time to mature.

Some say Frank is ready now. Until he plays at least one preseason game, I can't say.
