Pretty sure Perry wasn't there when Hardaway was discussed or signed.

I personally do not believe that Anthony staying will hurt KP's development. I would argue that Anthony's presence takes heat off KP.

The major problem with KP last season was that his skill level on offense was not sufficiently developed, particularly in terms of the big man game - and on nights when he wasn't burying the three point shot, he was generally starting off terribly.

The other major problem with KP last season was the terrible PG play of Rose.

If the Knicks are likely to be taking back schlock under the current trade scenarios, then they are wise to be considering the option of bringing Anthony back.

If we take on bad contracts and schlock players in exchange for Anthony, we will likely be regretting this trade for years to come. Better to keep him for one final season (in which management has no intention of deliberately tanking), and let him opt out next summer.

100%

I think the knicks will get re-engaged as long as they get a young player (harkless type), expirings, and a future 1st round pick.

RIght now they are probably be stuck with Leonard or someone like that and they have no interst. It's up to Morey to figure out how to get them expirings at this point so sit back fold your arms and wait.

They don't want him back, he doesn't want to be back, but still you don't take crap back. Morey has to cave, it would be horrible optics not to complete this deal.

Hope you are all ready for that. Hopefully he doesn't get hurt and opt in

Don't mind Melo staying since we signed THJR. That signing signaled us not fully rebuilding. Now get Rondo in here and let's see how far this team can go.

Rondo, THJR, Melo, KP, and Willy can also go small Rondo, THJR, Lee, Melo, Kp.

Rookie PG, Lee, and O'quin gives us a solid 8 man rotation. If it all clicks we can get the #2 seed as the East is wide open. Just need them to be focused and well coached. Shouldn't have a problem making the playoffs in the weakest Eastern Conference in recent memory.

agree with regards to KP and any potential Melo trade (if its not a win type of trade for the Knicks you just hang onto him for another season).

then he stays.....better that than take a bad deal. melo will have to deal with it.

They could get better if his list of teams increases. Also, think of KP. Before, he saw Melo getting bullied. Now, by saying you want Melo back, it gives the perception that they're nnot bullies anymore. So, if Melo still says that he wants to be traded, it's on him now. It makes a bad situation less bad for the Knicks.

I actually like this decision. It's kinda like a role reversal from when we were trying to trade for him. Obviously he wants out. Next step is give him permission to go talk to the rockets. Let him tell them to do what ever it takes to get him. Like he told us. Rockets actually have an asset that makes finding a taker for Anderson easier. They're going to have to use it.

They think they need Ariza to have a shot against the Warriors. But what if Durant's foot gets hurt again? Make the move Morey.

Where do u see this ?

Personally I don't think the Knicks want Ariza back at this point. He is 32 and doesn't fit into long term plans.

Stop it shtolky. You are being too level headed, positive, and making too much sense!

Will be interesting to see what this new GM has to say in many regards concerning this team going forward. Would also be interesting in what Melo is thinking as some had him ready to be shipped to Houston in the last few days. Knicks will remain interesting at the very least over the next few months/years.

this is what im talking about. Melo can hopefully put pressure on CP3 and Harden. This was our only leverage play. Enjoy coming back to a loser Melo. Or get them to pony up.

CP3 can be a right bastard. He is gonna get this deal closed. Watch!
