I think what would be interesting and would take out the factor of waiting for players would be if 20 random players were choosen not to be part of the auction and no one other than the commissioner knew who those 20 players are.

Westbrook
AD
Harden

Just one of these guys alone makes your team dangerous. All of these other guys are not putting you on their backs. They need help.

Once again, it's how guys dropped. I'm not blowing my cash on a star that still needs another star to make noise. Each will cost you at least $100+ anyway.
