why would anyone want us to divulge if we are trading or keeping Melo? If we say Melo won't be back under any circumstances then that would cause HOU and or CLE to offer even less...

Perry should say something like we are listening to trade offers but as long as the offers aren't up to snuff he will stay a knick.

No need to unnecessarily undermine Melo's trade value here.

It will be interesting what they say about that....don't expect much details either way. I assume they will be more politically corect then Phil and won't start calling players out

yes and no. Phil did say he wanted to trade him even at the deadline...but he also said he was looking for a good package. So he still wanted something of value back. Whether me and you considered what Phil consider "value" might be a different story. But assuming the crap clippers offer was on the table he still didn't accept that offer and whatever CLE was peddling.

Phil was more open about dealing him than I probably would have liked...but people and the media were clamoring to phil to give them the "plan"...what was he suppose to do..if he ignored the questions he would have been killed too.

I'm sure he will gush over KP, Willy, and Frank, etc. but the Melo issue has to be addressed in some form or another. Hopefully just a respectful statement about how we will do what's best for the team and won't rush into anything, etc.

We LOVE Melo so much. He will be a great fit with our new roster, so it would pain us to let him go.
Spoiler:
But...... if we receive any really great offers, of course we'll listen.

4: What style of play are we playing. Fast like the Suns with Jeff or in between
5: Will Perry get say so on moves in the front office or with trades what's his vision of this team.
6: Did Perry reach out to Prozingis and the rest of the players yet if not when ?
7: If we do trade melo What are we looking for in return.
8: How do Perry feel about Frank

I'm printing this out right now and putting it on a carrier-pigeon to be delivered to MSG now. Don't worry bro, I got you.

It's not in the guide on my phone. MSG often doesn't update the guide in time for press conferences. Look at their FB page - it's there too.

have to find the balance. don't want to make it seem like we want the world for him or teams won't bother negotiating.

Does it say in the press release which current players Scott will insult or criticize? Isn't that an official part of all our press conferences?
