Perry is now the GM so he is working the phones and doing all the negotiations. So yes he is the one that will get the credit or fault on the moves. Mills said he was going to work with him but only from an overseeing point of view. Mills brought in perry to do all the day-to-day front office transactions.

Mills will be blamed if Perry fails. Perry is the one that will talking to FA, talking to GM's about trades, doing the scouting for potential drafts. Mills was the GM so he gave THjr the contract because he probably felt we were going to get shut out in FA (which will all didn't think was a bad thing). I'm coming around on the move a bit but the total contract is still too high.

I said C's want Lee. That's it. I won't ever speak again on what is said to me in terms of insider NBA information because you all piss me off whenever I try and contribute.

Idk why everyone assumes Crowder would be moved the second I said that, yall know Jaylen Brown makes like a million less than Crowder?? The trade works with Jaylen and Smart - Knicks throw in a pick of some kind and we get 2 top 10 picks, they fill their void. Crowder's contract is too good..

Mills is the president not GM. Perry is the GM. Perry will do all the work Mills will approve things if he like it. So Perry should get credit.

I can see the interest in Lee considering what we have publically and how we signed THJ. That being said, it would take more than just Celts and Knicks to make it work since a trade between just the two of them wouldnt seem to work straight up.

Even more so since on top of making all those calls and negotiations, its his job to also sell Mills on those suggestions and moves.

bingo. Mills will ultimately take the fall if Perry doesn't succeed because that was his hire. But all the moves from this point on are on Perry.

This is just MY speculation But I think if the Knicks gave the Celtics Lee and a 1st we could get Jaylen & Smart.

Don't let it get to you. Your on a Knicks board after all and its the least you can expect considering what we've all been subjected to

FYI - Highly doubt we trade a first given what was said yesterday at the presser. Another team would have to be involved if the C's want Lee

Have you seen Tatum? You can't be both a legitimate contender and a team of young stars. They are gonna be stuck in limbo forever if they don't move some pieces around.. Lee is more impactful right now than Brown & Smart combined especially in that offense. He is exactly what they need in a starting 2. Maybe they knew they were signing Haywood and didn't wanna go hard for PG13? Don't be so narrow-minded - Think like a team that wants to win the NBA title THIS YEAR.

Yah but I also said that all I was TOLD is "C's targeting Lee" - my initial post said Smart because you'd have to assume any deal involving them acquiring Lee means they ship us Smart.

No dude you mentioned Marcus Smart. Not just "C's want Lee."
