Carmelo Anthony Continues To Prioritize Trade To Rockets

Carmelo Anthony continues to place the Houston Rockets as his top priority trade destination despite Kyrie Irving's request for a trade.

The Cleveland Cavaliers presumably have a clearer path to trading for Anthony due to the Irving request, but Anthony prefers the Rockets.

Some in the Knicks organization would trade Anthony and multiple first-round picks for Irving.

With the Rockets trading for Chris Paul and James Harden already signing an extension, their situation is more stable and attractive for Anthony than the Cavaliers.

they just trade buddy hield and a lottery 1st rounder for sacramento to get Cousins...now they are going to trade Cousins for Ryan Anderson who by most reports requires at least 1st rounder if not multiple just to move his contract.

Oh true that, my bad.. Reading through these things fast. Still think HOU says no but we seem to be giving up the right amount. I'd still do this from a Knicks perspective. I fux with Kyrie and TJ, we'd still have our next 2 picks. Really would love to see Kyrie paired with Frank though, wish there was another way but I dont think Willy does it.

Yeah i'm with you on wanting to keep Frank and see him and Kyrie playing together in the back court but if Phoenix gets involved and do trade Bledsoe then i can't see them not pretty much demanding they get Frank since they're also rebuilding, unless we can get them a PG another way through the trade. I'd much rather add another future 1st rounder like our 2022 instead of adding Frank in the deal so we'd keep Frank and give two future 1st rounders in 2020/22 which by that time we definitely won't be a lottery team so a couple of 1st rounders in the 20's isn't worth more then getting a guy like Kyrie.
