Google Troy Weaver Carmelo Anthony.. apparently they are boys dating back to when Melo was in 9th grade. Troy was the one who got Carmelo to go to Syracuse. Can he get him to OKC?

So far our best offer seems to be - Ryan Anderson and a 2020 Pick.
Could you squeeze something more from OKC? They could get you a future pick although I know they have some outstanding obligations..
Does Kanter have more value than Anderson? I think so. Kanter is on a 1-1 for a total of $36mil and Andersen has $60mil over 3 years. I think the answer to that is definitely.
OKC has Fergueson (19 YO drafted 21st this past year), Abrines (23 YO Euro) as assets.
If Melo is open to this at all, this is great news.. Either we can take the OKC deal and look to ship Kanter elsewhere ASAP in 3 team deal or you tell Morey to pony up and throw us another asset.. or you hang out for the Kyrie deal to shake out and see if theres an additional asset and contract that Cleveland would be willing to move for Melo.
Knicks position on Melo talks has drastically improved over past 2 weeks. Knicks need to tred lightly and pounce when the opportunity to ripe. But from looks of it, we wont have to settle on Anderson and a 2020 pick.

Melo is the perfect fit in okc if you play him at the 4. George and Roberson can slow down klay and durant with their defense, athleticism and length. and melo/george/Westbrook is so much firepower. Melo would just catch and shoot 3's from all of Westbrook drive and kick plays.

Kanter at 18m is almost as bad as Anderson at 20M. If we can do a deal without taking that back I'm ok.

But Kanter is a much better player and can score in pretty much any way and can rebound. Kanter much better player then Ryno.
