If you're reading correctly, and if JKidd's son is right. But it is not too hard to imagine Steve Mills going for a deal where we pay/give too much. So I think Perry has already earned his money.

I don't think anyone ever promised Melo he was going to get traded to Houston. Maybe he was told they were close to trading him to Houston or maybe just by simply reading all the tweets and rumors that had all of us thinking it was close to being done made Melo think it was getting done but i doubt anyone from our FO actually told Melo he was without a doubt getting traded to Houston.

For defensive reasons CP3 especially knows they can't lose Ariza. Melo's offense without Arizas defense is not much of an improvement.

For defensive reasons CP3 especially knows they can't lose Ariza. Melo's offense without Arizas defense is not much of an improvement.
I agree, but that reality doesn't change the Knicks' stance that something of value must be sent our way without doing long term damage to our cap.
