Willy's post footwork is so fire...dude gets so much out of a pivot foot it's ridiculous. Feels like we're not far from Face-Up KP blowing up traditional line-ups while post-up Willy can pressure small ball units. As long as they can defend competently at least.

Watch his clips. I was wondering how he always gets open. On like 3/4's of his highlights, he waits until the defenders back is turned and he repositions himself to an open space on the floor. I mean, I get this is sort of basketball 101, but not all players do it well and I noticed he does it constantly. He's like a PG who never picks up his dribble, except that he's a C who never stops looking for the seam when a defender turns his back.

Willy had a WS48 of .123 last season, much better than average. And he did it as a rookie. KP hasn't done that in 2 seasons.

Did you hear anything new/update locally about his knee?

Nothing is wrong with it. I don't think it even ever was. Coach decided to sit him and the main PG out against Romania and needed something to say tbh. It is still an issue of selecting 2 or 3 guys to be dropped from the final squad which will travel to Turkey, he needed bigger rotation

I read today he is participating in team's practice but working individually. Hopefully just they're being cautious and he will be fine for the game against Czechs. I am going to that game, so I'd love to watch him play... but having him being for the official Eurobasket matches is more important. Hopefully tomorrow there will be some more news about it.

There's a reason why a large percentage of the hype machine are not NYK fans. The kid has an extremely high ceiling and I want to see the franchise help, not hinder, him reach that ceiling. Play him at C & let the kid do what he does well instead of forcing him to do things that don't work for him.

Outside of AD / KAT / Giannis, there isn't a 25 & under player I'd take over him.

They should do some DLeague games at least until training camp starts. Maybe a tournament? Maybe play against foreign teams?

It would give the opportunity for the young guys to see real game action along with highlight any DLeague guys from last year who may be ready to join the show. Would only help with building the DLeague brand and some fan excitement.

Gimme something to watch!

Win Shares for players in their first couple of years is widely inaccurate as a correlation tool. Mainly because Playing Time varies soooooooo widely between the Rookies & Sophomores. Especially when you have some old school Coaches still doing their thing.

It is nothing serious - don't make anyone worried here :) Just a bump they get every other game. The team just plays it safe.

He has improved immensely defensively throughout the season and he is also a way better passer than Kanter.

doubtful tbh, but nothing serious, he was practicing today with his trainer in the gym, so he good.

Eurobasket starts next week, I heard they will show it on ESPN 3. :o :o
Celtics fan.
We also face the Kings twice in the near future. I think it's time Yabu pays back some of that free money he's been given his entire career and bounces Fox for a nice 2 week ankle sprain.

Yes, he's likely not to play tomorrow, but it's just our coaches don't want to risk before the championship starts next week. He'll be ok.
