A QB who can't throw. No thanks. Would rather sign Alex smith or Kirk. We have capspace. Probably 6-10/7-9 without a QB. Including losing a couple of games that smith/cousins would've won.

Saying Lamar Jackson can't throw just means you haven't watched him once this year because his passing skills have improved immensely.

Wanted to sign Alex Smith is even more idiotic. He's in his mid 30's and we're a rebuilding team. Hasn't Favre/Fitzpatrick etc taught you anything? Smith is a game manager who has an elite line/running/HC. He'd be a 6-10 QB here.

The jets are on the verge of going 6-10/7-9 with Josh McCown at QB. Including 2 games where smith and cousins most likely win.(Falcons and Dolphins. Could include bills here, but won't). At 33, smith can still give you multiple years of solid QB play. Kirk can give you even more at 30. Coming into the season, I would agree with you, but the jets have been better than what we thought they would be. This isn't a a 3-13 team signing a QB. It's a team with capspace, looking to improve.

This team is a fools gold 4-5 that had a schedule where they have good matchups that they capitalized on. Alex will be 34 next season. That's putting a bandaid on a torn ACL. No.
