Basically I'm wondering if he took an already good team and made them even better, or if he took a nothing/irrelevant team and made them a factor (or if it's somewhere in between)...

latvia made the top 8 2 years ago winning slovenia which was without randolph. pretty hilarious.

That year Slovenia was without Goran Dragic, Luka Doncic and Randolph. Latvia also did not have Porzingis yet.

more than anything we need another ball handler and "play maker". Maybe frank becomes a George HIll type on offense but he's still not going to be a huge high assist guy. More a jack of all trades on offense with elite defense.

Doncic could be the G/F combo like Gordan Hayward does that can score but also create for others. It's something we desperately need another player maker to set up our guys.
