I would have said something too at that ranking

Come on "Hoodie Melo!, Hoodie Melo!!!"

Would serve 2 purposes. 1. Shut them haters up. 2. Get the Knicks a lot more back in a trade.

This pretty much sums up Melo at this stage of his career.

Its not disrespect either.

Now if Melo find it such, he can easily change the viewpoint by playing defense.

I don't see us getting better defensively.
Jeff is still the coach.
We played much better defense under Fisher.

Lonzo fuqun Ball, who hasn't played one NBA game yet is better than Carmelo Anthony. Seriously, ESPN? Based on what? His loudmouth father telling us how goid he is?
All in all he's just another prick with no wall

Smh

ESPN trolling Melo. Doesn't mention his defense or declining efficiency as reasons for the ranking. All they say is that he has a chance to set a record by averaging 20 points this season lol.

Of course, Melo responds on social media with a big F U to ESPN. And so the Knicks will be stuck with a hellbent Melo, trying to shoot his way to 20 ppg and back into the top 50 ahead of Lonzo Ball, who is obviously more valuable than Melo at this point.

It's a joke. Melo, like many fans, will take something like this as a slight to his entire career, when the fact remains that he's just not effective enough on either end to be considered a very good player anymore. Maybe 64 is a bit too low? Maybe not? Where is D-Wade ranked? And who cares?

Sucks that Melo cares so much. You can forget about Dad Melo this season.

Melo's efficiency in relation to volume was dreadful last year, combine the fact he provides little else....he's not an impact player at this stage. It's fairly black and white. Increase the TS% and the assist numbers to at least average for the position and he'd be higher.

Much better? Our drtg relative to the league was worse under Fisher than it was last year.

Of course drafting Doncic is tempting.

But that would be such a great story if team with Melo and KP as a (not so)dynamic duo would make a noise in the PO.

He was mad about being ranked like 13th or 15th last year so he showed them up by plummeting his rank to 64

Stop handing me stats Sark about something I'm using my eyes for. I've told you that a million times. Stats will never sway me.

We looked beyond bad in defense last year. Everyone looked liked garbage on defense. Communication was horrible.

When his jumpers aren't falling, he serves as much purpose as the 15th guy at the end of the bench.

We gave up 110 under Fisher. We gave up 111 last year.

Much better? Ok sure. Whatever you say.

Lol exactly. At this rate, he'll be out of the top 100 next year.

On a serious note... it's ok. Melo doesn't have to be a top 15 player anymore at his age. He can still be effective and respected. His problem is that he thinks he has to be a scoring machine to prove everyone wrong. He doesn't f*cking get it.

I just keep thinking about KP and the young guys on this team. I cringe every time I imagine Melo out there taking shots from everyone else this year. Burning up offensive possesions and showing no effort on the defensive end. It will be demoralizing to his teammates once again, until the Knicks go on a horrid streak of losing and Jeff finally removes him from the starting lineup.

If Fisher were a good coach, he'd have a job by now.

Enjoy watching him on Dancing With The Stars though.
