Tyreke Evans or James Ennis.

Grizzlies won't be able to pay for both of em' thanks to Chandler Parsons.

I think the Knicks have a shot at LeBron with Perry in the front office.

That’s what I’ve been saying foe awhile, a 3 guard rotation gives them each 32 minutes, if Timmy wants to start, then play better defense than Frank or Avery.

Trade targets:

Jordan Clarkson
Would add some fire to Frankie’s ice.
Streaky but athletic. Good slasher.
Decent playmaker. Could play either guard spot.
Pretty awful defender tho.
Has the tools to be much better in that area.

Jordan Bell
Bouncy undersized interior defender.
Compliments KP/Enes perfectly.
Would set the Garden on fire with his energy and athleticism. Comes off immature and kinda knuckleheadish.
Dray feeding him that GS hot sauce everyday in practice contributes for better or worse but likely better.
We do need some attitude. He’d be our Kenyon (Net version).

UFA target:

Glenn Robinson III
Best known for being a high flyer this kid knows how to play and I think has barely scratched the surface as to how good he can be as a playmaker from the wing position a la Iggy. He’s been hurt this year for Indy so I haven’t been able to see him this season but he’s an intriguing fit with Michigan alum Tim (and maybe Burke too), fits our timeline and fits our need for an athletic three man.

Last year we woulda lol’d at the thought of trading Wily too. It’s a long and unpredictable season. Let’s see how it unfolds. And with Curry, Durant, Klay, Dray and Iggy all getting max deals, they’re not gonna be able to pay everybody. He’s a solid young energy guy but he’s not a starter on their team and doesn’t project as one abt time soon. I’m sure they value him but let’s not act like I said we should target Draymond Green in a Lance-Kyle package. He’s an expensive toy the rich kids didn’t need but he’s not untouchable either, I’m sure.

there's a 0.0% chance they're trading Bell. He's a perfect fit for their team and they just drafted him and he already plays over McGee. it's lolworthy

This is from the trade board. At first sight I’d jump all over it, but now I have to look to see the cap impact despite dumping Lee and Noah

viewtopic.php?t=1638851&f=2#p60511634

Jrue Holiday, Asik, Ajinca

for

Courtney Lee, Noah, KOQ

viewtopic.php?t=1638851&f=2#p60511634

Jrue Holiday, Asik, Ajinca

for

Courtney Lee, Noah, KOQ

2019 cap space
Lee 12,759,670
Noah 19,295,000
Cap # 32,054,670

Holiday 26,866,111
Asik 3,000,000 partial guaranteed
Ajinca 0

We’d get two mil extra

But in 2020 & 2021, we’d lose whatever Jrue would get paid

Maybe if we make a big splash in 2019, we could consider a trade of Noah / filler for Holiday when we’re over the cap. Maybe.

Would anyone do this trade if possible: Noah and CHI 2nd round pick for George Hill. Hill makes a little more money per year than Noah but his last year is a partial guarantee. We get rid of some of the Center cluster on our team and get a PG since Jack may not last.

I would absolutely take this deal if available. But why would Sacramento?

At first glance it would be amazing to get rid of Noah's contract but Jrue deal goes through 2021-22 at 25 milions. If he breaks down, and he already has problem staying healthy, he would join our Hall of Dead Money with Curry, Amare, Noah. To risky IMHO.

You forgot H20, Jerome Williams, Jerome James and probably at least 5 more since 2000. This franchise :noway:

I would only do the deal IF we are done with the core and want a move to put us over the top. Otherwise, just let Noah expire or stretch him in 2019.

Well, I don't think we would improve having Jrue instead of Lee, and he interfer with Frank's development. And if Jrue can't form good back backcourt with Rondo, I'm sceptical that he would work with Ntilikina. Only benefit of that trade for us would be that Jrue is easier to trade than Noah. But if things would go wrong we would be stuck with another terrible contract.

Yep. The Frank aspect is another reason not to do the deal.

I’d rather we take Asik and Jackson for Lee than do the Jrue deal even though I like Jrue a lot

Right now, the Knicks need 3 starters to be added to the starting lineup - SG, SF, and a C. Hardaway Jr. is better suited to be the 6th man on this team. We need a Center who can pass out of the post and score down low (Cousins or Gasol) that would compliment KP. We also need a playmaking wing or guard and 3-D elite shooter to compliment and round out the starting 5.

Cousins would be my target for this offseason
Draft Miles Bridges or Kevin Knox or if we get lucky and get in the top 3 - get Michael Porter from this draft
2019 off season - Go after Klay Thompson at all costs.

My 2019 Dream team

PG: Ntilkina
SG: Klay
SF: Porter Jr/Knox
PF: Porzingis
C: Cousins

6th man - Hardaway Jr.

I would trade Courtney Lee for Maurice Harkless then explore Hernangomez and Lance for the best possible veteran return we could get.

Looks like Montrezl Harrel is a free agent this summer - wouldn't mind taking a look at him assuming O'Quinn leaves.

I think the last player I'd want in the entire NBA is Jordan Clarkson.. He's Derrick Rose bad

Return to New York Knicks
