he's still young and has look improved so far in the preseason IMO

i mean it's better than being stuck with kanter lol

I mean, it's basically like getting a 3-4 year younger Kanter. Games are identical.

idk
okafor looked better on the defensive side so far and his motor was better too

Okafor's D and motor still look bad on D.

The TWolves just picked up his option for 2018-19. That means we'll be able to sign him for 2019-20, right? I think we can really get him too. He grew up a Knick fan.

...) Milwaukee has been working to trade several players to clear salary cap space, including guard Rashad Vaughn and center John Henson, league sources said. The Bucks have been willing to attach a second-round pick in offers for Vaughn recently, league sources said.

http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/21025477/richard-jefferson-milwaukee-bucks-share-mutual-interest-possible-deal

We need to be all over this for Vaughn. We can absorb him using the TPE & get a 2nd.

A target I hope the FO has in mind is Noel. I think he's gone no matter what this summer.

Him next to KP puts us in a good position to grow into a top defensive team. He can guard out on the perimeter and he can defend the rim.

The issues are

A. He's due for a big contract this summer
B. He has to be the roll guy because he can't shoot at all outside of 3 feet.

I assume they'd want WHG back in any deal. If there was a way we could dump Kanter instead (IE take on Powell in the deal), that would be my preference.

If we could land him & keep WHG, then we'd have our big man rotation set for the foreseeable future. Any combination of the 3 can play together.

Frank Baker
THJ
Dotson MCD
Noel
KP WHG

KAT and Kyrie can both be here soon. I believe that they both want to play in New York. We can have a dynasty here very shortly.

Kyrie/Frank
THJ/Dotson
Doncic
KP/Willy
KAT

I can't see Minny letting KAT leave. No way.

Would be awesome to pair KP & KAT tho. :droop:

In that lineup tho, I'd start Ntilikina alongside Kyrie and bring THJr off the bench as a scoring threat 6MOY type (similar to Eric Gordon's role).

No way in hell Minny is gonna let KAT go, and I don't see why Kyrie would leave a potential dynasty team in the Celtics to come to us.

Now it's just on another level tho. Never before has there been a team with 4 superstars like Golden State. They are a tier above the teams you just mentioned. The emergence of so many superteams so suddenly is just a consequence of that.

You're missing the point. Where did I say those weren't superteams? That's right I didn't. I said that the Warriors team is on an entirely different level, something we've never seen before.

Nah dude, the ShowTime Lakers would've SMOKED them. And I have to believe that the defense Celtics Big 4 would've done the same.

Jameer Nelson is being waived by Denver. He's be our best PG not named Frank.

His Basketball Reference similarity score show that he's most similar to Derek Fisher and Nate McMillan.
35 years old but played over 2000 minutes last season.

I'd normally stick with youth but I would take Nelson over Sessions/Jack combo any day of the week. Frank can actually learn a thing or two from Nelson. That said, I doubt he ends up in a Knick uniform. I am sure his agent is already getting calls from contenders.

That's cool man, thats your opinion and I can def see why you'd say that as Showtime Lakers is one of the best teams of all time with some of the most beautiful ball movement I've ever seen. I still have to disagree tho. :D Only team I'd pit against the Warriors would be Jordan's Bulls, I don't think Celtics Big 4 would be able to handle Golden State. That's just my opinion

Can't we claim him on waivers before a contender signs him?
