Im sold on DSJ. Hs entire game is NBA ready. knicks goal should be 4.

» by K P 6 » Mon Mar 20, 2017 11:52 am

I'm just here trying to figure out who is the best player to pair with KP. When I look at it Smith Jr can fit in the triangle as he is able pull up for the jumper or pass. He would also be a good finisher cutting to the rim. He's like what we wish D Rose was.

by K P 6 » Mon Mar 20, 2017 12:09 pm

Is it me or does Fox have a basic game? In terms of all the other lottery point guards is he the least talented "moves wise" or do I need to do more research?

When I say moves wise I mean NBA talent type moves that you see from Fultz and Smith.

by K P 6 » Tue Mar 21, 2017 6:24 pm

Dennis Smith low key being slept on he got dog in him I can see him ending up like Westbrook.

How true is this?

"Remaining lottery teams, sorted by record, fill out picks 4-14"

I had no clue there was only a drawing for the top 3 picks. In this case at best we need the 4th worst record.

Tatum, Smith, or Fox if we dont land top 3.

Would you trade 4 for 5 and 9? Hypothetically speaking. Kings wants Tatum but you want DSJ. Would you make that trade? or take Tatum? Thats soooooo tempting. Possibility of ending up with DSJ and Bridges or DSJ and Isaac.

It had been barely two months since Smith had surgery on the ACL in his right knee, but he found the allure of the rim too tempting. Still half a year from being fully cleared by his doctor, Smith wanted to see whether he still had it.

He was among friends, so Smith walked up to the basket and with two hands dunked the basketball, recovering knee and all.

“People were making weird faces like it’s not supposed to happen,” Smith said. “Then I went to a tomahawk, and from that I went to a windmill. After that, I was like, ‘I’m good now.’”

Smith has a little showman in him, but he doesn't come across as a show-off. So when word trickled out that he’d been on the court, he denied it to anyone who asked. He didn’t even tell his father at first.

Happy to say the only player I wanted ahead of Frank was Markelle Fultz, but that was never happening.

So that's 5 inches in height and 9 inches in wingspan difference? So DSJ needs to jump 14 inches higher than Frank does to dunk

lol ok i dont give a fk who can dunk better, or the competition betweet the 2 players. only one is on my team, and renaldo balkman could dunk too.

also if were basing **** off this fanbases obsession with arm length, its going to take him longer to get off a shot. guards are quick in the nba.

I don't recall KD, KP, or even George Hill having slow releases because their arms are so long.

Frank's release actually was a little slower than I'd like to see in Europe, but that isn't hard to correct. Plus, his height will make it extremely hard for guards to contest.

Jason Kidd had a deliberate release, but was never really bothered by contests because he was 6'4".

ok, but did they dunk better ?

There is a difference between saying something months before the draft and saying something after the draft, don't get it twisted. Pumping up a guy well before the draft is one thing and dick riding another player drafted by another team while bashing the guy your team picked is another thing altogether.
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

He has more upside than DSJ and Monk in your opinion?

Yeah - but that's based on his athleticism being much farther from a finished product than theirs. I saw him look like a flash in transition so it's those quick movements that he's gotta improve - and I think a lot of that is just growing into his body. Being that long has got to hurt your handle at first, no (I wouldn't know - I'm a T-Rex.) But we're also seeing his body develop in a big way in just one year.

Now, maybe he never develops those things so by that same token he has a lower floor. How far he can get is above my pay grade but I see their improvement limited by how much they can refine their games and his by how far he can push that crazy frame.

So don't get me wrong - I'd figure both of those guys are better players now. But at this point - I'm feeling go for broke. You need superstars... and furthermore, with his learning curve a little behind theirs, he may simultaneously put us in a position to grab one next year while he develops.

In this NBA you need the Draymond Greens and Giannises of the world. Frank has the ability to impact every facet of the game at a high level like they do and you don't see that from the other guys. There are weak spots in their game that will never be filled. Frank gives you a shot at the total package. Offense/defense/shooting/IQ.

I'm pretty sure I liked Frank, but I was all over the map at some point.

Frank, Monk, DSJr, Mitchell, Kennard, even Justin Jackson (when Triangle was still triangling, though I think he's going to be good on any team)

Frazier and Monroe's careers sort of end as the hops era begins (ABA merger) but I get your point.

I wonder what, say, post 1980 is the all time no hops all star list.

For arguments sake, no Centers allowed (sorry Moses Malone)

Bird - The all time no hops player SF
Andre Miller - all time no hops PG?

Anyway, have at it

Well played. You definitely went back to when I was getting a feel for the draft. This doesn't prove you right tho lmao. I'm not November 2016 day 1 but for damn sure I knew who I wanted on draft night.

Admiring different players in a deep draft is okay. Chit I even ended up having Fox high.

Point is I was rocking with Frank and you was rocking with Smith as your final pick. So watching you eat crow off of a few days news and 1 no look pass is quite satisfying Carmelo.
