Ntilikina - 40.9%
Ball - 37.7%

i would hope so, he's suppose to be the best scorer out of all the point guards, right?

i know you like your clips but in terms of stats

he is allowing people to shoot 3.8% better from the floor against him (47.3% vs him vs 43.5% avg).

Its not atrocious (like d'angelo russell levels) but it isn't good.

again stop it with the stats dude. hes literally paired up with yogi in the starting lineup who has been atrocious on defense, so stats will show him looking like a bum.

i think smith has looked like we expect him too thats all. He flashes great scoring ability (but he's not consistent), he flashes some point guard skills but isn't a great playmaker for others, he can come up with a steal but his defense is inconsistent...no one is saying the dude can't play and more of it is to give melo more of a hard time  ...but the knicks are struggling and frank instantly turns the game around....I haven't seen that type of impact from DSjr yet.

this stat is DF% against...meaning its defense against the guy you are guarding so that is as individual as possible. I'm not even giving you defense +/- which has more of a team aspect to it.

DF% against is pretty much the best individual statistic out there that eliminates poor teammate play as best as possible.

yall really trashing a dude who is playing on the most washed up roster in the league. dirk needs to retire, wesley is the master of shooting bricks as a supposed marksman. everyone else is trash. mavs are relying on him to play like he's in NC state. carry them like there's no tommorow

im just saying DSjr usage % ranks him 15th in the entire NBA

for example franks usage % ranks him 142nd

im just saying you can't use the he's playing the 2 guard more...because he still has a high usage

lets break it down for a second...

he took 23 shots (thats 23 possessions)
he had 2 assists (that 2 possessions)
he had 6 turnovers (thats 6 possessions)
and he had 2 FT's (lets assume thats one possession)

He scored 27 points (he had 2 assists for the sake of argument lets say he assisted to one 3 and one dunk). That 5 points plus his 27 points say that DSjr impacted 32 Mavs points during the game on 32 possessions.

Thats a point per possession

now lets look at this line - http://www.espn.com/nba/hollinger/teamstats

a point per possession would rank DSjr production that game right around 25th or 26th in the league. I'm not trying to be overly hard on DSjr im just saying I wouldn't promote 27 pts (32 effected points) on 32 possible possessions. It's not really efficient at all...

but if frank scored 27 on 10-23 shooting we'd all be busting nuts. i sure as hell would. you acting like it's a crime for a rookie not to be efficient (yet he has the highest TS for point guard rooks). players like lebron, Durant, harden, Westbrook, etc were just as inefficient as rookies. so your point is moot. he is showcasing that he is able to score whatever the defense the throws at him and is MORE than a capable play maker. when smith has games with 7-10 assists everyone gets quiet about his playmaking but is ready to talk when he has a low assist game. that's corny af. i have yet to see a mavs fan say that he's not a point guard and is a bad play maker. seriously. you can keep throwing these stats at me but in reality you are just being overly harsh whether you want to admit or not. kid has been a stud and it's obvious to non Knicks fans
