Great trade for the Nets! Okafor can play. He's a big zero on defense and his body language sucks but the kid can score.

Knicks fans are complaining that Willy's not getting any minutes this season then whine that we didn't go after Okafor. You can't have it both ways. We need to acquire and develop two-way players.

Okafor and Stauskas together with a set of golf clubs can't guard a 3 legged chair. The Nets "young core" is other teams trash. Marks has done a nice job cleaning up the disaster area but they would trade literally their entire roster and a pick for KP, and no GM in the league would take it.

Nik Stauskus will also do well in Brooklyn

They should bring in Jimmer & McLemore to compete the failed lottery attempts by SAC to get a SG. How can you have that many and not come away with a single player

He is Eddy Curry 2.0. He can't do too many things to be worth having on your team.

Did anyone get enough of a sample size of his play to determine how good he will be? Obviously Philly did not think his play in practice warranted playing time and if the way Dallas is treating Nerlens Noel by gluing him back to their bench, I hope Okafor was worth players saying he needs to be traded so he can get a chance.

Problem is that Nets can only pay 6.5 million to him this offseason.

1.) If he does well, he wants to get paid which is more than 6.5 million
2.) If he doesn't do well, will the Nets pay him?

Staukas is not even a rotational player at this point. He's just cap filler.

2nd round pick is good but they are all crapshoots.

How much is it worth killing your locker room (heard that Booker was a great Lockerroom guy and he plays within the system). yes, the nets are rebuilding but you still need good veteran leadership in a young locker room.

This is the only person they need for vet leadership in the locker room. He is the peace and the tranquility, The Yin and the Yang, The soft playing Yoga Music in the background.

I feel Okafor and Kanter play the same game offensively but Jahlil has more juice. He's younger, but his defense needs work. He was miserable as a sixer, he'd be motivated as a Knick.

defense needs work is understatement of the year.

he's also kind of a lazy bum.

The number 2 and 3 draft picks of 2015 have reunited back in Brooklyn.
Now they can pretend that they never threw away their firsts and drafted these guys.

Nets thinking...

No, Stauskas is a Net now, so he's magically awesome. Don't look at the sub 40% shooter behind the curtain!

Play okafor with KP and KP would be in foul trouble all the time trying to cover his mistakes.

Honestly i thought they should have traded him to the clips for lou williams would have given them some scoring punch off the bench for them.
