Want that top 11 pick. There are other good players after this such as Troy Brown Jr, but love this top 11.

Knicks will get exactly no one on that list. That's the Knicks way.

um jack will no longer be in the starting lineup along with Kanter. We give up open 3's because neither can play the pick and roll and people like KP...need to help. There for giving up open looks.

Dribble penetration is our issue thanks to having jack and kanter.

No we give up open 3's because KP has zero discipline in the P & R/ on the perimeter which is why he needs to be moved to center unless he magically gets laterally quicker or learns to not overreact to everything on defense. Jack isn't good but KP isn't helping in that department either. I'm not excited for a KP/Bamba pairing at all to be honest with you. They don't complement each other very well. Also this board severely overrates how impactful PG defense actually is in the pick and roll. Would it help if Jack was a defensive stalwart? Sure but plenty of teams get by and actually have had great defenses over the years with guys who aren't exactly shut down guys at the 1. SA with Parker comes to mind, Boston with IT and now Kyrie, Portland with Dame has a top defense this year etc.

KP doesn't have great discipline, I will agree there. He has natural instincts as a rim protector and always wants to help. Which is tough to break that habit but if he plans on playing full time PF he will have to.

But issue #1 is that if we don't get beat of the dribble then we wont have to help. So at that point if KP continues to sag off his guy then he will have no excuse for helping in the paint.

I just think it's almost impossible in today's NBA to not get beat off the dribble... Like if we're playing a Kyrie or a John Wall, 8 games out of 10 we play against them they are going to get 20 and 7 automatically so, to me, it's more important that we limit the Otto Porters and Jayson Tatum's of the world moreso than them. Guys who mainly get off from other people's help. We need better schemes and KP at the 5 if we want to truly be a good defense IMO. Hence, why I think Bagley is the perfect fit in this draft and best player for us. He allows KP to function as a rim protecting 5 on D with less perimeter responsibility (in theory of course) while also allowing him to function as a 4 on offense. Bamba is more Rudy Gobert than Chris Bosh.

You've seen Kentucky. As long as scrub ass Knox is on the team he's never even the worst person on the floor.

Nah seriously I halfway joke with calling people like Brick Jr a scrub (he's ight) but I seriously mean it when I say Knox is a scrub with no future and whoever picks him is (Please Use More Appropriate Word) (its gonna be us isn't it... Oh lord).

He doesn't have to run back on defense. He can guard the rim and 3 pt line from our basket.

similar to KP ideally you want bamba defending the rim and not on a stretch 4.

Jaren jackson is the one the can guard stretch 4's + be a weak side help defender

Jaren Jackson really is the perfect fit if we move KP to center. Which we 100% must do.

What any big this draft gonna bring to the table for us is clearly not as valuable as what a quick penetrating playmaker or elite perimeter 3D would bring, considering we are so trade averse, tread carefully

This is the worst idea ever... KP is too weak. Putting him next to the genetic scrub version of KP doesn't make sense. We have 1 too many PFs shooting 44% from the field as it is.
